This is a list of locations that can be found in The Mansion on the Edge of the Abyss.
You stand in a sunlit foyer. Which is strange, because there is no sun here. The room is bare except for a circle of chairs in the center. There is a staircase here that leads to the next floor and a door that leads to the basement. Finally, there is an old-looking elevator here that leads to the attic.
You have entered a huge black nothing. It is safe to assume that you are probably falling right now, in which case you will fall forever until you die.
A large mansion with two floors, an attic, and a basement.
You are in a clean and pleasing bathroom on the first floor of the mansion. It contains the usual amenities: bathtub with shower-head, toilet, and sink.
The study you stand in isn't much to look at. It's a small room with only one window that leads to some of the little land that rests outside the fence (and thus the grounds) of the mansion. It contains a desk and a piano.
A posh den full of various hunting trophies, comfortable sitting chairs, and a marble fireplace.
You stand in a stately and beautiful bedroom. The bed here looks most inviting, decked out in red velvet, and a picture window overlooks the garden.
The bathroom on the second floor of the mansion is truly a sight to behold. The floor, walls, and appliances appear to be made from solid, reinforced gold. It would be very pleasant to use, but for some reason the bathtub, sink, and toilet to not run water, but rather black inky fluid.
You stand in the rec room of the mansion, a medium sized room containing all sorts of pleasing diversions including a bar, games of chance, darts, an old-fashioned television, a record player, and numerous comfy chairs.
You are in a spacious library. The many rows of bookshelves contain all sorts of books, but mostly books on science, engineering, and cryptozoology.
You stand in the attic of the mansion. The wooden floorboards creak constantly and seem unstable. The room is full of cardboard boxes. There is a mannequin in the corner that appears to be coated in a black ink-like fluid.
You stand in a long, spacious guest bedroom. There ten beds here, each rather plain in appearance and feel. The room is dull and boring in terms of color, and there are no windows.
You stand in a dank filthy basement. The entire room is flooded, and the lights are out. The substance that has flooded it resembles black ink in consistency and appearance.
The first floor of the mansion. This floor contains a kitchen, a dining hall, a foyer, a den, a study, and a bathroom.
You enter the shed in the corner of the garden. It is dark and decrepit.
You are in the garden behind the mansion, on the north side of the Floating Island. There are all sorts of vegetables here.
The second floor of the mansion. This floor contains a master bedroom, a guest bedroom, a grand bathroom, a library, and a rec room.
A large, clean kitchen containing many appliances and instruments used in cooking and food preparation.
You are on a floating island just outside the wrought iron fence surrounding the mansion.
You stand within the stately dining hall of the mansion. It contains all sorts of finery and decadent cloth.
You are in a pristine yard. North of you is an imposing mansion.
