0 · 658 views · located in The Gambit Building

a character in “The Multiverse”, as played by Tardisfreak

Description

Name: Ochalas, or Chal

Age: 20

Species: Half Blood-Elf, part Wood-Elf, part Human

Physical description:
Chal has bright red hair, that sticks out in virtually every direction, so to keep it out of her eyes, she wears goggles, which are also great for keeping her eyes clear, when she is flying. Like all elves, she has short pointed ears, and bright green eyes, that contrast her red hair. She is moderately strong, and fast, and can dash quickly for a few feet extremely quickly. There are large electrical scars that cover her back. She wears a tight, green shirt, and pants that are tough, and worn, with knee pads. To protect her arms she wears, tough, gauntlets that protect her forearms.

Personality:
Chal, is very energetic, and cheerful like her father. She like to make jokes, and is especially partial to bad puns, and terrible jokes. In a fight, she can be serious in the moment, but has a tendency to crack jokes, and hurl insults at her combatant.

Equipment:
Chal carries her sword with her at all times, it is a elvish sword, that has been reinforced by an unknown metal, and can cleanly slice through most materials. She wears her mothers rocket boots that produce enough thrust to propel her through the air quickly, and she wears goggles to keep her hair, and other stuff from flying into her eyes. Her belt holds her sword, other random trinkets, including a mysterious braid. She has recently received a second, legendary, sword called Caliburn.

History:
Ochalas, and her twin Devecus, were born on E-Theria. Her mother Cindi, and father TF, raised them with good morals, and she, and her father grew very close, and he began to teach her combat with a sword. Chal learned about the universe, from her mother, who told her and Dev many story's of her adventures, and later taught them how to navigate the universe. When Dev, and Chal reached their eighteenth birthday, they were given a time disrupter by their mother, and they visited their parents in the past and shared many adventures with them. When Chals mother was infected with a reprogrammed A.I., she created a cult based around technology called the Iron Legion, and became the Iron Queen. She drew her past self, and Chal back to the future, and tortured them. They were rescued by Chal's friend, The Mechanic, and had more adventures for almost two years. Chal and Dev then returned to their own time, and she spent a few happy months with The Mechanic, until he mysteriously left. In a depression, she joined the E-Therian military for two years before leaving, and reforming the Iron Legion, and waging war on everyone who tried to stop her. She also became addicted to multiple drugs during that time. In a massive strike against her, the Neo-Hunters completely destroyed the Iron Legion, and barley escaped Chal with her life. She fled back home and snuck back into her room. In the morning Cindi found Chal passed out, on her bed, bloody, and half-dead. Chal has recently been traveling the universe, laying low, and hiding from the Neo-Hunters. Due to meeting the Mechanic again, her depressive past has been erased.

So begins...

A red haired Elf lay on a table in the bar, passed out. She had a mug of beer in one hand and drumstick clutched in the other. Drool slowly dribbled from her mouth as she slept, and her face twitched every now and then. Some of her red hair was plastered to her cheek thanks to the saliva, her eyelids fluttered, and she snored softly.

The Elf's eyes slowly opened, and she blinked a few times. Her tired eyes seemed to question where she was for a second, before she remembered where she was. She got unsteadily to her feet, and shook her head, leaving the beer, and drumstick on the table. The Elf walked groggily to the door and opened it up, blinking in the sudden light.

A boy that appears around 16 or 17 is standing by a steam-punk looking car that had crashed into a wall, he seems to be complaining and occasionally mutters "Luckily the power source didn't blow up or this whole area, possibly planet could be gone" he occasionally reaches for the hood of the car but decided against it and mutters "If the power source is leaking it could possibly kill everything near, don't want anyone else's death on my shoulders" but through it he occasionally grabs his head and seems quite dazed like he doesn't know where he is.

Chal ran a hand through her hair, and blinked again. It took her a while to remember the right words, and she yawned. "Uuum, can I help you?", she spoke tiredly, and slowly, and the bags under her eyes added to her expression of exhaust.

The boy turned around and stared at Chal for a few moments like he saw a ghost, he then blinked and shaked his head "Sorry you reminded me of someone I knew, but anyways I don't think you can help, my Rift Rider decided to come here, wherever here is, instead of where I wanted to go and crashed...the name's The Mechanic by the way, and before you ask it's not my real name, don't have one, so I created my own name and stuck to it ever since" The Mechanic walked around the steam-punk car he called the Rift Rider trying to assess the damage.

Chal blinked again, this time in surprise. Rift Rider. Mechanic. Those words seemed familiar for some reason. Like a word on the tip of her tongue that she couldn't grasp. Suddenly it all came back to her. "YOU...YOU B**CH", she screamed, and charged the mechanic, slamming him, onto the side of the car, angrily. "Why are you back? You...You...I hate...I cant believe!", anger flaring from behind tired eyes. Chal's voice broke with emotion, and her tone became more hurt, "What are you doing back?", she asked, the anger in her eyes turning into questioning.

The Mechanic stared back at Chal with a look of pain on his face "OW! dang the Rift Rider's burning hot...wait, have we met before?" asked The Mechanic, he stared at Chal with a look of confusion "Wait...Chal?" The Mechanic then looked completely pissed but forced himself to calm down "I don't know what you mean by why am I back, if my memories correct you are the one that left me" The Mechanic turned and slammed his fist into the window of the Rift Rider to try on force out some anger then turned back to Chal rubbing his eyes, trying to stop the tears from coming.

Chal let go of the Mechanic, and took a few stepped back, her eyes burning, and anger rising from within her. "Is that how you see it? I left you? YOU THINK THAT I LEFT YOU?!", Chal said, her voice, beginning to rise. "I WAITED YEARS, AND YEARS FOR...FOR...", Chal broke down, and fell to her knees. Tears streamed down he cheeks, and splashed onto the pavement. "But...you...you...didn't come....", she sobbed. "Years, and years. I didn't see you, I wanted it so...so badly. But you...you didn't come back", Chal hugged herself and cried louder.

The Mechanic stared at Chal in confusion, his memories told him Chal had run away on a random version of Earth leaving without so much as a goodbye, he stood outside in the rain, sun, and snow for days hoping to see her come back, but after years he gave up and drove the Rift Rider planning on leaving only to crash into the wall here...had something messed with his memories? "I...I...I...I thought..." the Mechanic then slammed his forehead onto the top of the Rift Rider until he was forced to pull his head back from the pain "DANG THAT'S HOT!"

Chal looked back up, the memories of waiting were now fresh in her mind. Tears continued to fall down her face, and she trembled. "I did...so many things...I tried so much to forget...but I...I couldn't stop thinking about you", Chal began to cry harder, "I...was..so angry...I...did things". Chal looked at her arm, and pulled out a small syringe, pulling off the top, and slowly injecting it into her arm. "I...I...I didn't know", she said, and pulled the syringe out, and stared at it.

The Mechanic grabbed the syringe from Chal and stared at it in horror, he then pulled out a sonic screwdriver and scanned it, but it couldn't help him. "What was in that?" The Mechanic asked in a voice that sounded like he was honestly scared. "My sonic couldn't tell me what it is, and that can't be good." The Mechanic stared at the syringe in his trembling hand.

Chal, sniffed, and wiped her tears away. "It was... Irithrall. Its a...a drug". Chal looked up at The Mechanic pleadingly, "I.. I need it. Please", she weakly raised her hands, and tried to grab the syringe back. "I got...addicted, can I please...just have it...please?".

The Mechanic just threw the syringe away as far as he could and it went soaring miles away The Mechanic then grabbed Chal and lifted her up and hugged her. "I am so sorry, I'm still not too sure what happened but I'm sorry, I swear I'll find a way to make everything right." The Mechanic then let go of Chal and turned to the Rift Rider and opened the door and a lot of smoke came pouring out. "Dang it, did I leave the oven running again?" The Mechanic then ran into the Rift Rider and seconds later he walked out covered in ash. "Some idiot stuck paper in the oven and turned it on, considering how I have an electronic oven connected to the main system of the Rift Rider that might have what been what caused me to crash." The Mechanic then pulled out his sonic and started scanning the Rift Rider. "What I don't understand is that the Rift Rider shouldn't be heating up so much, it's made of extremely heat-resistant material, must have been a quite serious thing to cause it to heat up."

Chal let out a horse cry of protest, as she watched the syringe sail away, but was caught off guard by The Mechanics embrace. She began to cry again, "Im sorry too. It was just so hard, I...I couldn't stop". As soon as The Mechanic disappeared into the Rift Rider Chal wiped her face again. "Stop, okay. No more crying", she muttered, and stared at her trembling hands. "Mom is going to kill me when I get back home", she said, and ran a hand through her hair to smooth it out of her face. When The Mechanic came back, Chal listened, and nodded in understanding. She then walked to his side, and took his hands in hers, "Hey, could we start over?"

The Mechanic was looking at his sonic for a few seconds then turned to Chal. "Sure, on one condition, you do everything in your power to stop that little addiction of yours, especially since in all my travels across time and space I've never heard of Irithrall, and what honestly scares me the most about it, is that my sonic can't tell me anything about it, not even some simple chemical compounds." The Mechanic then shoved his sonic screwdriver into his pocket. "To be honest I think the Rift Rider may take some time to repair so I think we'll stay on this planet until I can get the parts and actually repair the Rift Rider."

Chal nodded, and looked at the ground. "Stop my addiction. Yeah, I..uh..I got addicted to more than just one drug", Chal rubbed her eyes, and sniffed. "I don't know if I can stop. Its been hard for me these last few years". She took a deep breath in and looked back up at The Mechanic, and smiled shyly "I've been here for a while, I know a few nice places. There's a garden not far from here. Its pretty"

The Mechanic stared at Chal for a few moments. "Not to be rude but I find it extremely hard to believe anyone could get addicted to multiple drugs after getting addicted to one drug, but then again I've sworn off drugs myself so I don't know what it's like, anyways you're gonna have to try and keep off all of them, and I'm gonna help you, anyways, I would like to see this garden if you want to show me."

"Yeah, I...I don't know what I was thinking. It was just, a very hard time", Chal shook her head, and began to walk down the street. She turned around, and smiled at The Mechanic, "Common, its not that far".

A dark force had taken an interest in this one called "The Mechanic". Those who tread boldly across the sands of time were always worth monitoring. Perhaps with the right incentives and provocations, he could be a valuable tool...

Chal raised her eye brows at The Mechanics statement. "Wow, okay. Not, sure if I should ask for detail. Anyway, this is Wing City, the third largest city on Terra, and one of the busiest city's around. Terra. Its kinda like Earth, in a way, but its also very different." Chal then took The Mechanics hand in hers as they walked, "I'm glad your back. I really missed you".

"I missed you too." Said The Mechanic. The Mechanic then looked very concerned, he never heard of Wing City, but he had heard of many, many Terras, humans were strange with how they named things, The Mechanic got quick shiver and turned around. "Why does it feel like something's watching me...meh I'm probably being paranoid, anyways, do you know what happened to the others?" The Mechanic couldn't shake the feeling he was being watched, and for a split second, anyone who was watching close enough could see, that The Mechanic's eyes temporarily turned black with white pupils before he blinked and they were his usual dark-brown eyes.
