Cynophobia - The Fear of Dogs || After being attacked by a rather large dog as a child, something which left him a scar on his left bicep, Gabriel has steered clear of the creatures. The sight of one is enough to make him become nervous, and it is a surefire way to get the young man to excuse himself and leave the premises.
Hobbies:
Flirting || As will become excessively clear through the reading of this profile, Gabriel is quite the flirt, willing to flirt with anything with legs, really. He considers it his favorite pastime, and one of his greatest skills. He'd be lying if he said that he didn't use his extra talents in such ventures.
Bird Watching || Surprisingly enough, Gabriel is an avid lover of birds of all sorts, and bird watching is one of his secret pleasures- one he keeps hidden from most everyone else. When he was still young, and living with his parents, he had quite a few pet birds around the house, varying from doves to hawks.
Powers:
Gabriel is blessed with the ability to persuade people simply with his words, compelling other people to do things that they might not otherwise do. It is very handy in getting what he wants, or convincing men and women to warm his bed when he feels the desire. In fact, he often will accidentally use the ability, and thus may unintentionally force someone to do something they do not desire to do. While there is no limit to how often he can use this ability, it does become slightly weaker with those who are on guard, requiring him to actually focus on the target. Anyways, it is a purely sound-based thing, and one can guard themselves from it by simply blocking out the sound of his voice. Cover his mouth, drown him out, or do something along those lines, and one will be perfectly safe from his powers of persuasion.
Strengths:
Bird Keeping || As he has raised birds throughout his life, the young man is quite good with the creatures, especially at training them. He can also identify most of them, and knows how to care for a wide variety of species.
Poetry || Though he prefers reading poetry to writing it, Gabriel has a sort of knack for prose and pretty words, and can be quite the poet when he desires. He learned it as a child from his mother, an acclaimed writer.
Photography || Gabriel likes to photograph things that he views as beautiful- whether that be a person, an item, or a time of day doesn't matter. He's got an eye for beauty, in fact, that helps with photography.
Flaws:
Mathematics || Gabriel may have inherited a gift for writing from his mother, but he had no one to inherit the mathematics gene from, unfortunately. Throughout high school, he was always very close to failing out of his math classes.. To this day, he is terrible with math, and therefore makes a point to never involve him in a situation that may require its use.
Arrogance || Well, no one has ever accused Gabriel of modesty, that much is certain. His arrogance can often be irritating to others, and leads him to overestimate himself- eventually, it will be his downfall.
The best way to explain the next flaw would be that Gabriel has the unfortunate, but not uncommon, tendency to think with lil' Gabe, rather than his actual brain. It's a lot easier for an attractive person to get him to do something than another person, and he often flirts with the wrong people.
The first thing that most people realize about Gabriel is that he is a shameless flirt- his eyes must hurt from constant winking, and his mouth is perpetually curled into an intrigued sort of almost-smirk. The young man has the habit of flirting with anything that has a pulse, not being particularly discriminatory in most situations, and always seems to be ready with a sly remark and an admittedly attractive grin. Most people will tell you that he brings home a different stranger every night, or that he is the sort of person who prefers the chase to the prize- they wouldn't be entirely wrong, but don't necessarily have the entire picture, either.
Gabriel is far from the modest sort when it comes to dating and picking up men and women, but that doesn't necessarily mean that he is completely against the idea of settling down with someone- he just expects to leave that to when he is older, and sees no problem in playing around now. It isn't as though he treats people poorly, in fact something of a gentlemen in most manners. He just doesn't believe that love needs to have anything to do with sex and flirting. He never gives the illusion that he intends to stay with someone if he doesn't actually plan to, and while he is a flirt, never leads people to expect more than they will get.
There is a reason for the affection he receives, anyway. Gabriel may be a flirt, and occasionally prone to lies or abusing his abilities, but in words and mannerisms he is every bit the gentleman that his parents raised him to be. He opens doors, addresses people politely, and never goes out of his way to hurt someone- if it happens, it happens, but he isn't making it his goal to break hearts or anything like that. Despite his poor grades in Maths and Sciences, he had always been beloved by teachers, and remains a favorite of most authority figures because of his tendency to act politely- a charmer through and through, really.
He'll go to great lengths in order to acquire that which he desires, which is both a flaw and a virtue. Polite though he may be, Gabriel is not above deceit, tricks, and dirty methods in order to get what he wants- he'll simply seem the very image of a princely young man while doing so. Appearances are very important to Gabriel, after all. He's not a chronic liar, but it would be foolish to trust every single word the young man utters. Of course, he is a bit cynical, and believes it idiotic to hold anyone at all to the word- probably why he so easily 'forgot' his promise to the girl whose kiss gave him back his true form. He doesn't consider something so common as little lies and broken promises to be immoral, simply put. The young man is difficult to distract from his goals, except for when it comes to more primal desires. In those cases, anyone wishing him ill can very easily deceive him with an attractive face and a seductive smile.
And he won't see the attack coming as much as he should, for all of his cynical words, because if Gabriel believes in anything, he believes in himself. Sure, he'll admit that he is a flirt, and that he often relies a bit too much on money, but he is confident otherwise in himself. Whether it be his appearances, his abilities, or his strength, the young man is prone to overestimating himself and, therefore, impulsively jumping into situations that he really would have been best steering clear of- like gaining the wrath of a possessive girl. His arrogance may draw people closer, because people are often attracted to those who are sure of themselves, but eventually runs the risk of pushing people away if they can't handle how full of it the young man can be at times, even when he is teasing.

The Classic tales of the Princess and the Frog illustrate the Frog as a prince who was turned into a frog by an evil witch- while Gabriel's story does somewhat resemble this, it doesn't precisely follow the plot of that age-old fairy tale. Rather than being born into royalty, Gabriel was born into a family of the next best thing -perhaps even better, given the wealth. He comes from a very wealthy family, the son of a highly acclaimed author and the CEO for a large PR firm that works for many of the biggest labels on the market. Obviously, the young man never wanted for much throughout his childhood, the only son of two doting, but constantly busy, parents. His mother was home more often, when not on book tours and the like, so he was always closer to her than to his father- not to say that he had a poor relationship with Mr. Leroy, though. The two of them had a tight bond, but throughout Gabriel's childhood he only really saw his ever-working father on weekends.
Anyway, Gabriel was already pretty much set up to be an arrogant sort of child, given his wealth and the way he was treated by both his parents and his parents' associates and such, but as his abilities began to manifest, the inevitable became even less of a doubt. He was seven years old when he first used his ability, influencing a teacher into not telling his parents that he had cheated on a math test, and then raising the grade. At first, he thought that he was just very clever, but as it happened a few other times after this, the young man came to realize that it wasn't simply his way with words- he had the ability to control others. He kept this a secret for his own benefit, not knowing of any similar abilities in either of his parents' ancestors. (In fact, his great great grandmother, paternally, had the same ability. She, too, had concealed it, and so this is unknown to all, including Gabriel.) Though he had been raised to be polite by his parents, useful when meeting their friends and when dealing with authority figures, Gabriel was not opposed to using his abilities for his own gain. He never really hurt people, not in a way which he considered to be hurting others.
However, there is another instance, now, where his story diverges from the typical tale. The witch who cast the spell of frogship upon him was not, in fact, evil- rather, she was teaching a somewhat manipulative young man to be more careful what he did to others. You see, this witch was the mother of a beautiful girl with whom Gabriel found himself infatuated. She, however, was not particularly impressed by him. Frustrated, he influenced her into falling for him- something that the girl's mother picked up on rather quickly. Infuriated that he had done such a thing to her daughter, she cursed him to be a frog and moved her family out of the town.
And a frog Gabriel remained for twp years, his parents sick with worry that their only son had gone missing. When he was nineteen, though, he convinced a pretty young woman with golden hair to kiss him, exaggerating on his merits a bit and promising to marry her if she did it. Well, this girl, Lacey Swan, agreed, and through her kiss was able to regain his true form once more. Unfortunately, he hadn't quite learned his lesson, other than to be a bit more careful about the people he flirted with. He pretended to 'forget' his promise to Lacey, instead rushing back into his old life, making up some story to reassure his parents and going back to his playboy ways. Some people never really learn.
