Talila looked up at her when the woman gave her the jacket she blinked before slipping her arms through it. "Thanks, but you are going to get soaked too... come on." She said and grabbed her hand softly before running through the trees and to a small house. She hurried and opened the door and smiled. "There." She giggled and gently shrugged the woman's jacked off before putting it on the tabled and looking at her. "Have a seat, I will get you a towel." She said and walked off to the back of the small house and into a small little room before getting the towel and handing it to her.

Elizabeth laughed a little when Talila said that she was going to get soaked. She was about to tell the girl that she didn't mind getting a little wet, but then the elf grabbed her by the hand and started to hurriedly lead her through the trees, and how could Elizabeth deny the little elf when she was holding her hand like this. When they got to the small house, she followed Talila inside, and when the girl said to have a seat, she nodded. She gently pulled off her flannel shirt since it was wet from the rain, leaving herself in just her jeans and black tank top, her tiger tattoo showing now. She gently set the shirt down on top of the jacket where Talila had put it, smiling when the girl brought her a towel. "Thanks," she said softly, using the towel to dry off the top of her hair and then her neck and chest where her shirt hadn't covered.

Talila got some water boiling for tea and she sat down. Lighting and thunder started up and she sighed, "I am sorry it rained on the tour... maybe we should have waited and I could have asked for you to come early so the others didn't know you didn't pay." She said softly and looked at her. It wasn't every day she had someone that wasn't her family in her home. Hell she never had anyone not family in here and of all people was someone who might punch her for saying something she didn't like, though she kept smiling and hoped the woman didn't smell her fear. "Oh, nice tiger tattoo! I have been wanting one on my spine." She smiled.

Elizabeth smiled when Talila apologized for the rain. "Oh, it's fine. I knew it was going to rain. That's why I dressed accordingly," she said with a smile and a quick wink. She couldn't help but to grin a bit when the woman complimented her tattoo, glancing down at it and then back up at the girl. "Thanks! An old trainer once told me I was fierce like a tiger," she explained with a bit of a shrug. "I have a couple others. I'm trying to decide what my next one will be... what are you wanting on your spine?" she asked curiously.

Talila listened to her and the rain, "well... I don't think he was lying." She giggled. She sure did seem like a tough woman, she had proved it at the market. When Lychee asked her about the tattoo she wanted she smiled. "A redwood tree because they are super duper tall and it reminds me of my people." She said with a bit of a shrug.

Elizabeth smiled when Talila said that her trainer was probably right and she gave a nod. She listened curiously while the girl said what kind of tattoo she wanted, and she grinned a bit. "I bet that would be really lovely," she said softly. "You could start it right at the base of the spine and have it come right up to your neck, or you could stop it in the middle of the back and the leaves could cover your shoulders and backbones," she said thoughtfully. She paused, and then lifted a hand and brushed her silky brown hair back, turning her head so Talila could see the little sword tattooed behind her ear. "I've got an anchor tattooed on my thigh. I...got it before anchors became a popular girly thing to get tattooed," she said with a slight roll of her eyes.

Talila listened and her eyes shined. "Ohh the whole spine sounds lovely... and maybe painful... I am a little scared but my people get facial tattoos so... I need to elf it the hell up." She laughed softly and looked at the tattoo behind her ear and aww'ed at it. "It's cute!" She said and giggled a bit before looking at her legs. "Well... I bet yours looks badasser." She smiled and hurried up to get the tea made before bringing it to her and sat down. Lightning struck and lit her green eyes. "Though a lot of girls here don't have it... since we don't get too many sailors here and well... we are on floating islands." She giggled.

Elizabeth loved the way the girl's pretty green eyes shone as she spoke, nodding a bit when she said it sounded painful. "Oh, probably. you may do well starting with something smaller to see what your pain tolerance is like," she suggested. She smiled when the girl aww'ed at her sword tattoo, waiting while she retrieved the tea and thanking her softly when she set it down. She smiled when Talila commented that not a lot of girls here had anchor tattoos. "They seem to think it represents strength, or being grounded, something silly like that. When I got my sword tattoo, there was a girl there who had an anchor tattooed on her shoulder and it said 'unsinkable'. I said that the whole point of an anchor is that they're supposed to sink...literally designed to sink... I think it messed her up a bit," she said with a bit of a laugh.

Talila listened to her as she sipped her tea and smiled, "Some people just get caught up in the hype, I guess." She said softly and thought of small tattoo ideas and giggled. "I think I came up with a tiny tattoo idea. I am going to get a tiny tattoo of cherries." She giggled again. "That would be super cute." She said and looked down at her body and smiled when she found the spot she would put it. Then she looked up and frown. The storms looked like it was as far she could see. "This storm isn't going to let up... if it doesn't stop you can just stay the night here." She said softly.

Elizabeth nodded a bit when Talila commented that some people just got caught up in hype. She blinked when the girl said that she was going to get a tiny tattoo of some cherries, grinning a bit. "That sounds fitting," she said softly. And a little sexy. But she wouldn't say that. It was far from appropriate. When the girl glanced out the window and commented that she could stay here if the storm didn't let up, Elizabeth blinked slightly. "Oh, no, I couldn't impose on you like that," she said quickly, shaking her head. "It's not that bad. I can still just walk back to my hotel," she said with a smile. She'd seen much worse storms. She'd sailed in much worse storms, even. Walking in a storm was a piece of cake.

Talila looked at her like she was crazy, "No no, I would be worried sick if you left and then got struck by lightning." She said and shook her head. "Just stay, it won't be imposing I swear." She said softly, she had to figure out a way for this woman to stay and not risk her life over nothing. "So you sail? Right? It is those big boats I see down in the ocean with those... cloud looking things attached to it? Exploring the oceans with clouds sound... interesting." She giggled.

Elizabeth blinked when Talila said she'd worry about her getting struck by lightning. She doubted it would happen, and was about to say so when Talila asked her about her sailing. She grinned a bit, nodding. "Yes, I sail," she replied. "I grew up in a shipyard and my mother married a ship's captain. He actually named his main ship after me. The Elizabeth. We own a few more ships, too," she explained softly. She giggled a bit at the prospect of ships having clouds attached to them. "I think the clouds you're thinking about are the sails. They're just made of canvas, but I can see why you'd think they look like clouds," she said. Too. Damn. Cute.

Talila blinked, "Oh... that makes a lot more sense than clouds, don't it?" she giggled. "I have never been on a ship, I have been on a dragon countless times. How is it on the water? Ohh I have seen the waves... they can get super big and I have seen my fair share of ship crashes." She frowned. "Or you know... them just disappearing in the water and never coming back up. Those... those are the worse." She said softly.

Elizabeth laughed a little when Talila said that sails made more sense than clouds. When she said that she'd never been on a ship, she blinked in surprise, and then thought about it for a moment when she asked how it was on the water. Before she could figure out an answer, though, Talila commented on ships disappearing under the water and not coming back. Elizabeth nodded. "Those are the worst," she agreed softly. "There was one time we were carrying some cargo and we had to save the crew of a ship that had run into a rocky area... the ship was destroyed. We couldn't save all of their crew, but we managed to get most of them on board. As a sailor, having an accident is basically your worst nightmare," she said, her voice soft. She wasn't sure why she was saying so much to this girl, but maybe it wasn't such a bad thing that Talila could get her to talk.

Talila listened to her and shook her head. Her heart ached when she thought about some of her tourists who had lost family on ships. She had never been in love but she could imagine the worry and hurt in something like this. "I was only ten the first time I saw a ship go underwater and never come up. My father and I didn't even see people bobbing in the water like they usually do in crashes and usually, my father would run to the elf who owns the dragons and they would do a rescue." She said softly. "We have a regular tourist who has lost family to the seas. One woman lost her husband and all her sons... the sea is a gorgeous place, but she is also so deadly." She said softly.

Elizabeth frowned a bit as Talila told her about the first time she saw a ship sink, shaking her head a bit. The view from up on the island probably would give quite the look at what was happening, but it didn't sound like something she wanted to watch. At Talila's last comment, Elizabeth gave a nod. "She is so very, very deadly," she agreed in a soft voice. "That's why you have to be constantly attentive when you're out sailing. You treat her with the utmost respect and bear in mind that at any given time, she can shift and you can be in danger. But she's also beautiful...and captivating, and so loving at times," she said, a fond smile coming to her lips. "I don't sail as much as I used to. My new job keeps me on the land a lot...but I go out to sea whenever I can," she said.

Talila smiled a bit as she talked about it. It was clear the woman loved the sea as she had loved her trees. "I see we have two things we love a whole lot. What is it that you do if you do not sail? I would feel so lost without my trees. When I am in the city I don't feel as grounded and I can just get swept up by the current of people that I end up... drowning." She said softly. "I can swim though, in actual water." She giggled.

Elizabeth smiled a bit when Talila commented that they had two things they loved, comparing her love of the sea to the elf's love of trees. She supposed she could see why it would be a fair comparison. "I'm a knight," she said softly. "I serve the royal family back home. I protect the castle, protect the town, protect the family when they leave the castle...if there was a war I'd be sent to do battle... I miss sailing, but it's an honourable job that pays well, so I can't complain," she said with a light laugh. "And there's a lot of fighting, which is my second favourite thing to do," she added.

Talila listened and blinked, "Oh wow... that... that is a very important job. I know the new king for our kingdom comes here very often. He is really good friends with the elven family on the lake island. Well... they are half-elves, but still." She smiled softly. "I have seen his knights. His best knight is his best friend but he lives here with the dragon lady, the elf who owns the dragons, and he only goes to the kingdom when called upon. There was a way... almost a year ago it started and he went. His wife had found out she was pregnant right after he left. I was praying really hard for him to come back home to his wife. Made fruit sacrifices and everything. He came back and now he went from like one kid to like five or something. I am really happy for them though." She said and smiled softly.

Elizabeth listened while Talila talked about the local king's best knight living on the islands, nodding a bit as she talked. When she said she was happy for the family and smiled, Elizabeth couldn't help but to smile as well. She had such a sweet, infectious little smile. "That's...always a hard thing. Most of these men have families and the last thing you want is for them to leave their wives and children behind, but it's a risk you sign up for when you're knighted," she said softly. She paused, glancing towards the door. "I never had an issue with it myself. I have my mother and stepfather...but now I have Priscilla, and she only has me," she said softly. "The rest of her family is dead. She doesn't have anyone else but the boyfriend...and I'm not so sure about him," she added with a slight shake of her head.

Talila nodded then blinked, "Oh? You don't like him? Why?" She asked before getting up. "You might have to talk a little louder since I am all the way in the kitchen." She joked but started on dinner. If she kept the woman occupied long enough she wouldn't go in the storm or until it was done.

Elizabeth sighed when Talila asked her about her not liking James. She blinked when Talila said she would have to talk louder, smirking a bit. The tiny house was hardly big enough for such inconveniences. "Yesterday Priscilla took me out for lunch with him so I could meet him and there were just...many things that seemed off. Priscilla's only eighteen. She's barely more than a kid, and he's in his thirties. He's much too old for her. He was evasive when I asked about his work, so I suspect it's not entirely legal, or ethical... I don't know. And Priscilla said he could read minds, so apparently I have to be careful what I think around him," she said with a giggle. Why was she being so open with the girl about her thoughts and feelings? Those were usually things she kept to herself, but Talila just...made her feel comfortable sharing.

Talila listened as she started to chop veggies and things. "Well I am seventeen... I think if I was in love I would be... well I would be in love." She laughed softly. "My parents have a good number age gap too. So that seems innocent. I can't comment on his job though... you know... don't know this man. Maybe talk to Priscilla about how you feel, maybe ask her to clear it up on what he actually does. He.. he can read minds? Or can he read people?" She asked and laughed. "There are people who do that and it is super creepy. They might as well read your mind." She shivered as she talked about it before putting things cooking. "Though really if you have concerns it is wise to express them. Maybe he is dangerous or maybe he is actually harmless and big sister mode was activated. I know about that... I have three younger siblings. Though... I would love for Elsar to you know... find someone so I can swoon over them or be big sister protector." She giggled.

Elizabeth blinked in surprise when Talila said that she was seventeen. She'd guessed that the girl was young, but hearing that she was the older sister had made her think that perhaps the girl was older than she looked. She went a bit red, feeling silly for finding herself so drawn to the girl when she was so young. "I don't know if he reads minds or people. I just know that we were laughing and joking and having a great time, and then out of nowhere he got kind of pissy. It was strange. Priscilla asked what I'd been thinking about and when I said I had reservations about him, she said he must have read my mind and known that since everything else had been fine. I doubt he actually reads minds, though," she said with a shake of her head. She smirked a bit when Talila said that she'd love her brother to find someone. "I'd offer up my little sister, but if you're seventeen and you're the oldest, they're definitely too young for her," she said with a shake of her head. "I don't know what big sister mode is like. I grew up as an only child. I only just recently found out about Priscilla, and I'm...trying my best to be a good sister to her. Since, you know, she has no one else," she said softly.

Talila giggled and let her food cook in low heat before sitting. "Okay, lets go over the conversation. Maybe you asked or said something that he is sensitive about. Like... right before he got all... you know pissy... did you say or ask him something?" She asked her before smiling, "Ahh yeah he is fifteen, and the other is thirteen, and the little girl is nine." She smiled softly. "Big sister mode is when you get protective or if they get hurt you become motherly. I have ran across this island and half the lake island so fast to the doctor when my siblings have been sick or hurt. I can get through people faster than my father who would have thrown people." She laughed softly. "I remember Elsar and I were dealing with trying to get a wild animal from our ground fruit and he got seriously hurt and so did I, but you know... I wasn't concerned about me. We got the thing down and dead, poor animal was just so hungry and I know it was it or us... it still hurts to think about. Anywho, so he got seriously injured and so I zoomed across town and to the doctor. Apparently, I had a really bad sprained ankle and my wrist was broken. Also had a gnarly gash on my side. The doctor thought I was crazy. I could have died, but you know... my brother was a lot more important. How could I live with myself without even trying to save him?" She asked before shaking her head. "So big sister mode is being protective and caring, almost like a second mother... at least for me that is." She smiled.
