For animals, creatures that lack a sense of morality, this path is often conclusive and easily reached through means of competition with one another...now if only humans could follow in their wake. The problem with humans, both the major flaw and the most noteworthy perfection, is that they uphold a conscious in the form of pathos, ethos, and logos. And is it because of these three points that humans, often, weigh their minds down with ethical obligations that prevent them from moving forward. However, there does, in fact, exist one race that has surpassed this particular barricade that had, before, prevented the evolution of our world.
XXX Tucked away into a secluded portion of the galaxy, far from the prying eyes and taint of human souls, is the planet Halcyon... though, most only ever know it as the 'Imperium'. With a civilization spanning countless star systems in terms of power, Imperium has been known as a dominating force, one that is feared by many for their violent and dehumanizing ways of imperialism. Native to Halcyon are the Kan'teli, humanoid creatures that have developed far beyond the limitations of 'Earth' to unlock their mind's full potential. With the Imperium's strength resting in their rigid social tiers and organized efficiency, it is an unspoken rule that one may never rise nor fall from their class... and that one may never surpass their neighbors.
XXX Despite being a seemingly flawless system, the Imperium has always searched for means of gaining even more power. After all, once every 'free' neighboring planet has been captured under one's rule, what else is there to do other than set a new goal? A goal that, in fact, came to the Imperium through the form of a strange oracle, one that claimed he had the key to ultimate power as well as the promise that the Imperium would forever flourish under an immortal king. With explicit instructions to gather 7 of the most powerful members to inhabit Halcyon, the oracle vowed to bestow upon each individual a gift like none other should they prove their strength. Not fully recognizing what would become of their fates, the Imperium presented their trophies to the stranger eagerly, desperate to hear out the man's detailed vision.XXX
XXX» » » Blessing those individuals with an Insignia, they each received a unique ability as well as a 'Sin' suited to their person. Superbia was gifted to the strongest with Invidia following close suit with raw power. Ira was bestowed upon the most brutal as Gula was given to the kindest. Fornicita was delievered upon the one with the most charm whereas Avaritia was given to the member who was the slyest. Finally, there was Acedia, the most intelligent yet quietest amongst the 7. With all the pieces in place, a separate social tier was formed within the Imperium, one that was to be sacred and worshipped by all as the saviors of their society; the Insignias.
XXX This divine seer, after selecting each player, crafted an elaborate competition to be held that was to be known as the 'Valkyrie Games'. The rules were simple enough; the arena was to be positioned on another planet with each Insignia being able to claim a native civilian as their 'partner'. Once entering a contract with the said Insignia, the secondary help would also gain power to protect their sin from rival players. The goal? To steal the other pawn's sins and to collect all 7 before the time limit of 20 days runs out. If an Insignia managed to collect all 7 sins, then they would officially win...and so would the Imperium. The victor would become what is known as the 'Black Messiah', an immortal ruler that would have the right to govern over creations and see to their destructions..and one that not a single soul would be able to rival against.
XXX Unfortunately, there does exist one catch to the 'Valkyrie Games'; should no one manage to collect all 7, the players will have to wait another 100 years before being provided the opportunity to retry.. that being said, each member will also be reincarnated in order for them to participate once more. XXX
XXX» » » As the year 2026 approached, not a single Insignia managed to collect all 7 sins and claim the throne. Of course, there had been close brushes with victory in the past years..especially so with Pride. During the 3rd round of the Valkyrie Games, he had managed to collect 5 sins from his competitors, and would have, most likely, collected all 7 had time not run out. Needless to say, each Insignia is itching to play the game this year, to end this constant recycle of their souls... though it would also be fair to say that the mood this year has been dampened just ever so slightly. For this particular phase, a once in a life-time event is occurring; the games are to be held on Earth.
XXXSuspecting the humans would be less than likely to cooperate in terms of hosting the games, the Kan'teli have made a move to flex their civilization's might. With threats of war and the inevitable destruction of Earth should they choose to disobey, the world leaders met in secrecy to hear out the demands of the Imperium. Chaos erupted as soon as the news of Earth being a host planet was delivered upon the human figureheads, each person disputing on why another country should be forced to play the entertainer for these aliens. Days stretched on without a single country stepping forth, tempers only growing. Finally, having enough of the constant bickering, Japan stepped forth to offer up a single city in which the Valkyrie games could be played; Tokyo. Preparations began to safely secure the one city off from the rest of the country, all inhabitants of the metropolis being forced to move out. In the end, what was produced from the fruits of man's labor, was a giant dome that fully encompased the outer boundaries of concrete jungle. But the Kan'teli demands weren't to stop at a mere arena.
XXXIt was boldly proclaimed that each Insignia needed a human partner, one that would be willing to partake in the games and one that would be skilled enough to actually be useful. Despising the idea of sending in perfectly 'normal' citizens, it was also agreed upon that orphans and convicts, members who really did nothing to provide for society, would be taken in by governmental programs to be trained and to be ingrained with the skills they would need to conquer the Valkyrie Games.XXX

Collectibles
By creating Collectibles, you can reward your players with unique items that accentuate their character sheets.
Once an Item has been created, it can be spawned in the IC using /spawn Item Name (case-sensitive, as usual) — this can be followed with /take Item Name to retrieve the item into the current character's inventory.
Mobs
Give your Universe life by adding a Mob, which are auto-replenishing NPCs your players can interact with. Useful for some quick hack-and-slash fun!
Mobs can be automated spawns, like rats and bats, or full-on NPCs complete with conversation menus. Use them to enhance your player experience!

Events
You can schedule events for your players to create notifications and schedule times for everyone to plan around.
The Forge
Use your INK to craft new artifacts in Vice Among Virtue. Once created, Items cannot be changed, but they can be bought and sold in the marketplace.
