Melody took a deep breath, looking up on the tall castle-like building that would now be her home. Her parents didn't like vampyres, but something made them understand Melody's need to come to the House of Night. She wasn't ready for something like this, her Mark dominating her face more than her red hair. She was afraid of being shunned here, unlike her friends at home, who had accepted her and told her they'd miss her. Her body shook as the moon stared down upon her, making her fear even worse. She took one deep breath and pushed open the doors to the school.

Once inside, she took quick notice that there were other fledglings moving everywhere. Her eyes went wide as everything seemed in place here. She took her black suitcase and moved around the school, only to spot a woman with an exotic Mark that had grown. She moved to the woman, seeing a pair of dark green eyes and auburn hair. She was amazing in Melody's eyes.

"Excuse me, Miss? I'm new and I was wondering where I could find High Priestess Neferet?" She asked. The woman looked down and smiled an all-knowing smile.

"You must be Melody Starr. I am High Priestess Neferet. Follow me." Melody blushed and followed the woman to what she assumed were the dorms. Once inside, she didn't take a single moment to look and followed Neferet to her dorm. She walked inside, seeing much of her things in place. Her parents must have come while she slept. She set her suitcase on the bed. "You may change your name with the start of a new life. What do you wish your name to be?"

"I wish to remain Melody Claira Starr, if that's okay." She said. Neferet nodded and left the room after handing a schedule. Melody looked over it and pocketed it in her dark jeans and headed to the closet. There were jackets and shirts she'd never had before in there, but she picked up a silk shirt with the third former emblem on it and slid it over her head, over her black long-sleeved shirt. She smiled at her work and headed down the stairs, determined to get to her first class on time.
