Kayl smiled at Alice, "Hallo, senorita Alice," he mixed Spanish and German together and couldn't help but chuckle.
"Same as usual; Sociology, equestrian, literature. What about you?" His attention shifted from the girl next to him to Alice, but he snuck a glance in at a guy at the next table over.
Finishing his ham, he moved on to the apple, attempting to use a plastic knife to cut it into slices. Unsuccessful, Kayl began stabbing the apple with the knife, attempting to puncture it.
"Damn, they need to give us real silverware," he laughed, giving up and biting into the apple.
Eating the apple with one hand, he ran his fingers through his hair absently while he thought, eyes closed lightly, but he was obviously listening.
