(Approximately one-hundred years after Darkwater was banished.)

Arige sat up and looked around. All he could see was sand, lots of sand. He looked around, trying to remember what had happened. He saw flashes of the Order casting a spell, and then he was here. Arige stood up but nearly fell down. “Whatever they did, it has weakened me greatly. I must find energy,” he said to himself. He began to walk toward the rising sun. Arige had only been walking for a few minutes before he became weaker and began to stumble. Arige looked up and saw a vulture. “Finally,” Arige said with a sigh of relief. Arige held out his arm towards the bird. “Ruza’bihnt!” The vulture fell to the ground, lifeless. The spell had drained the vulture’s life and turned it into energy for Arige. “The energy wont last long. I will have to find more wildlife or if I’m lucky…. a man,” Arige said out loud to himself. Arige continued walking east.
