Alec sighed once he realized that he wasn't going to find anything, he walked back out of the apartment arms crossed and scowling slightly. He looked up and saw that Victoria was back in her car, he shook his head, walked around to the side, and hopped on in. He nodded at Vic, even though she was pretty much barking orders, and laughed at her smile, saying, "Vic, you know I love you, but that smile makes you look a little crazy." He said, all sincerity in his voice. But none-the-less, once he got himself buckled in, his phone was out of his pocket and dialing Cody.

He hummed a tune under his breath as he waited for Cody to answer, once he did Alec didn't even bother to say hello, "Sorry, didn't find anything the second time around either. So listen, Vic and I are goin' over to Elmo's and she thinks you and... The rookie should come along." He waited a moment for Cody's response before saying his goodbye and tucking his phone away. He wondered just why Victoria had called the rookie Hutch, or he had guessed that she meant the rookie because Cody was working with him, he hoped he was right.

Once they got there, Alec smiled, he was starting to get hungry, turning over a suspect's house does that to you. He also noted that coffee sounded really, really, good at the time. Once they seated themselves in the booth, Alec leaned his head against the seat for a moment, listening to the sounds of the diner, taking in the familiar and pleasant smell as well. He shook his head and sat up straight as Ginger brought their drinks, he grinned and told her 'Thank you.' As she walked away. He was glad to have some coffee and started drinking it almost immediately.
