Cody had accepted Alec's offer since there wasn't much to do any more at 'Raymond Taxidermy of Philadelphia'. After he had locked the place up, he and the rookie took the car to Elmo's. Once they arrived there, he opened the door of the car and said one word to the rookie, "Elmo's". It didn't explain much, but Cody wasn't in the mood to do some explaining. He was frustrated by the fact that he couldn't figure out where the key belonged to.

Entering the diner, his spirits were a bit lifted by the view of Ginger pouring in some coffee. After years of coming to this place, Ginger knew him and the rest of the team quite well and had an uncanny ability to know exactly what everyone wanted. They often joked how she was more a part of the team then some of the rookies did. He gave her an approving nod for the coffee as she indicated she would bring it to him in a moment. He approached their usual booth and slid in next to Victoria.

"So guys, what do you say. Is this man less or more creepy then the woman with the doll houses?" As he said it, Ginger brought him the coffee and then looked over at Kiernan. She appeared to be studying him for a while, probably considering what kind of things he would like. "So, I've see you've guys got a new one," she finally said. "He's kinda cute," she continued in her usual flirty but matter-of-fact demeanour. "Be nice to him, okay?" She gave the rookie a smile. "So, what would you like to order?"
