Aylward felt a strong, incensed rage as he watched the black tiger sink its fangs into the man's teeth. King Egan had just killed a slave for an honest mistake! That was unforgivable. Yet Aylward knew that with the royal guard so close by, to attempt anything against the king would be foolish. He was here to spy out the construction works going on in the arena, not get himself killed. Feeling a sick twist in his stomach, he decided he had seen enough for the day.

He leapt over a ledge, letting himself fall 2 storeys to the floor below as he summoned a light wind to slow his descent. He landed nimbly, but immediately felt his heart sink as he turned and saw 2 royal guards standing behind him. They recognised who he was and immediately drew their swords, coming right after him. Aylward didn't give them any chance to gain ground as he ran away, summoning a wind beneath his feet to speed himself up. He laughed as he watched the royal guard attempt to keep up with him in their much heavier armor. Then he caught a glance of a smirk flitting across one of their faces.

Aylward turned back only to find a row of 5 guards standing in front of him, sealing of his exit. Takes more than that to stop me, idiots! He yelled in his head as he nocked an arrow in his bow and let it fly at the row of guards, a gale whipping up in its wake. The arrow struck a guard in his shoulder and the gale that followed sent the guards falling back on their feet as Aylward leapt over them and continued running towards the town.
