Kain walked down the street as his head began to hurt, feeling the effects of Alter's power no doubt. He shook his head and continued walking, realizing he would now have to return to Headquarters or it would become suspicious.

Kain arrived at Headquarters, walking the halls slowly for the last time. He cared not for the increase in power that came with consuming souls as truthfully, he didn't feel much of a change in his overall power. Nevertheless, it was like an addiction. He suspected what he was going through earlier was similar to withdraw, and the two souls he just consumed should last him a few days now... he hoped.
