From what Kano said, the only "pay" for being in Shao Khan's army was the honor of serving him and also, the powers given to his soldiers. Lea frowned. Sure, power and all is interesting but she didn't care about being in someone's army, she was fighting for her own enjoyment. But even if she loved battling, she wasn't the kind of person to appreciate doing someone's dirty work for nothing. It seemed in Shao Khan's army, the only thing she would have was power, nothing else.

-Well I damn hope he's got some nice shopkeepers who provide his troops with what they need. I want good drinks, good food and other stuff I need, can't buy them without money.

Kano eventually finished his drink before going in his tent. Another task awaited Shao Khan's chosen, probably another stupid mission in which they would have to fight who know what without any kind of detail on the target. The criminal had almost died againt Shei and Shao Khan never said that he could multiply into six clones, an info that would have made the fighters better prepared for this fight. Lea watched the full moon in the sky. She noticed a figure standing under the moonlight, watching over the camp. Kung Lao.

-Blade-hatted bastard ..., muttered Lea.

She was tempted to go toward the mountains and make Kung Lao spit out what she wanted to know: Why the hell did he interfere in the fight and why was he watching her. He said she was needed in the next Mortal Kombat, but for what purpose? Lea never actually decided she would participate or not, she simply did what's on her mind. Lea stood up and streched, before executing a rude gesture in Kung Lao's direction, though she doubted he could see it at that distance. she went into her tent and layed down on her bedroll, leaving the tent a bit open, to let fresh air enter he little shelter. She wondered what the next job would be. She knew that she would probably be working with Baraka, she shivered in disgust. Baraka was ugly and looked dumb, it wouldn't be fun.
