He shifted in how he had been sitting, the tension brought by suspicion hung heavily in the air. One could cut it with a butter knife.

"I've been asked to provide assistance in future assignments." He peered to Lady Edo, clearing his throat. "A certain purging." He peered to Shizuka at this, his words that he had spoke to her prior should have started to make sense. Whatever reason she had been here, there was no reason she would join in on the purging of a household.

His business was stated at that moment. Rather Gin chose to believe the Ghost or not, was up to his own volition. He had no reason to truly trust Gin himself, he could turn on the Lady of the house at any moment... For some reason, his distrust in him didn't settle well on the assassin's shoulders. Who would proclaim themselves of the Murakami, besides one who held a wish of suicide? Perhaps he had not planned this the best. Perhaps, going about disguising himself as one of the servants would of been a better idea. Or, you know, stating that he was here to serve the Edo estate. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid!

He sighed, lacing his fingers together as he peered over to Shizuka. Blinking he shook his head, it was truly a strange place to run into her. He'd have to do some looking into it later.

"However." Ren spoke after his momentary pause, "My business with Lady Edo seems less and less prominent each minute, and quite the opposite with Shizuka." There was no point in hiding his affiliation with her. If they sought after finding him guilty of their suspicions to bring the same upon the female ronin; he'd have no problem in leaving with her, and presenting her to Mamoru. Good or bad, there was always a chance anything could work. His speech seemed weird, and day by day, seemed to be further from the culture of Japan than the one before.
