2010: Somewhere in California; Sandy's Diner

Kassandra was waiting tables, as usual. She looked up at the neon clock in Sandy's Diner. "I'm off! See you guys tomorrow." She tore off her white apron and tossed it onto the hook with her name on it. She quickly grabbed her duffle bag and ran out of the door, and down the street towards the bus stop. She caught it just in time to hop aboard the bus, "Hey Howie." and sit in her usual seat towards the back of it. She was silent the whole way home. She hopped off the bus cheerily and walked into her apartment complex. She passed the doorman, and a few neighbors before finally reaching her apartment. 102C. She dropped her bag by the door and fell into her couch. "Air conditioning on a Friday, nothing beats this."
