Dale smiled and slung his satchel across a shoulder. He placed his hands firmly on either side of him, and swung himself off the counter with a quiet 'heave-ho.' He dusted himself off in a cursory manner, and smiled at the small woman.

If I found a way to amplify my sight I wonder if I could see the spirit residing within the doll? Spirits were not always the easiest to read, but they tended to be more expressive than wood and bolts. He had the suspicion that if he could 'tap into' the same frequency that was keeping her tied to the doll (he assumed that she was not *originally* a doll), he could see her, even without amplification. As it was she sort of had a pale glow that changed subtly from one moment to the next.
Humans, bless their souls, tended to have the easiest spirits to read. While the tended towards 'messy' and complicated, they didn't have any experience (usually) in manipulating their own spiritual wavelengths beyond what was instinctual. Therefore, once you got used to the raw confusion usually accompanied by something spiritually strong and untamed, they were fairly easy to read... his mind wandered back to the kitchen abruptly.

Looking down at the woman with a slight nod he replied, "I think that would be quite enjoyable."
