When Teri was told to reherse the code, she felt a twinge of uneasiness. She unconciously fingered the Luger that she'd hidden in her jacket; she knew that if she ever used it on someone, it would probably count as "unnecessary contact," but when she was dressing up earlier (that's almost what it was, yes? A dress-up game...) she couldn't bring herself to leave it behind. Having it made her feel like Great-Grandfather was protecting her, in a way, even if the gun was never drawn.

As for the clothing itself, it had taken Teri much less time to figure it out. She didn't want to go as a woman of the time. Sure it was supposedly enlightened "modern times," by then, but Rosie the Riveter hadn't quite been back in vogue yet. So a cap to hide her hair, some business slacks, and her favorite jacket. It would be a while before it would be recognized for what it was. In the 30s, (in America at least,) it was a greatcoat, and nothing more.
