Odessa shook her head after waking from a crazy dream. All it was.. was darkness and voices. She had these nightmares all of the time, but she didn't know why they happened. The demoness slipped her legs out from under her covers and gently placed her feet on the ground. She felt that every morning, she had to make sure everything was existent and real and felt that she had to hold on to life to keep it from slipping away. By life, of course, she meant sanity. For as a demon, it was hard not to hurt people around you, or suddenly want to lash out in anger. It seemed her nature was the exact opposite of calm, or sane.
Jane Narrow opened the door to Odessa's bedroom and peaked her head in. "School, Odessa." She was a nice lady, and lived with a nice husband. When Odessa was found wandering the streets many years ago, these were the people who took her in as their own, and now, caring enough to send her to school. Odessa felt as though she had been through just as much school as any teenager although, this was her first day. Also... her first day in a human facility other than this home. She shuddered at the thought. Humans.... They were so weak and stupid sometimes, though Odessa felt obligated and cared for the couple that took her in. They, of course, like all other humans don't know what she is. Demons like herself have hid among humans before, but she wasn't really sure if any had ever gone to school with them... Oh LOATHING! "Can't wait..." Odessa stood up and stretched as Jane left the room.
After getting dressed and looking in the mirror, not to make sure she looked good, but to make sure she looked normal, Odessa said goodbye to the Narrows and walked out the door. In no way was she going to ride a bus to school. STUCK inside a small moving compartment with them is the last things she needs. Instead, she walked to school. And at first glance, hated it already.
