Mr. Russo’s theories were entirely incorrect. When bearing down upon War, and lifting him up, not so much as a worried expression came over War. They needed him now, and it was obvious they weren’t going to lethally damage their subjects. The pieces were coming together and with each sentence there was a gleam of new realization. Surely even Evelyn and Lady Metallica were picking up on what was happening.
The strange portal lights gleamed in and delivered their captor from their hands. The remarks he left kept him pondering however, and it didn’t take a twelfth level intellect to guess what was coming. Even Jake had called out to everyone, more then likely they’d be fighting again very soon. Time was precious while they waited, and War for one wasn’t going to waste it. He had the bargain he wanted, now he had to just survive their training.
The hybrid sauntered toward where the girls were gathered. For now they were allies while there was a bigger threat in the room. He stood just before Evelyn, Lady Metallica, and Arabella, stretching and trying his muscles to warm up. Speed was going to be the only advantage given on an unknown foe.
He glanced back over his shoulders to see if the rest had caught on. The cyborg’s silence gave off an unsettling impression. Was she confused or lost with all these happenings? Rather, was it just a shock that the monster could in fact think and form a plan?
