Ben patted Joshua on the shoulder again, glanced at Misty, then made his way to the deck. Sam had disappeared off down the hall but Ben ignored him. As he made his way to the deck, the dog came trotting back holding a blanket in his mouth. Ben smiled, reached down, and gave Sam a hug. "Thanks, buddy."
He came to the body of Albert one more time, and probably the last. He was ready to toss him off the boat but stopped.
Maybe his body has clues.
Ben nodded to himself and tossed the blanket over the gaping stomach wound. "Joshua!" he called. "If you want, you can investigate his body. Maybe it'll give you some answers."
