She watched as John walked up the stairs before going up herself to listen to music in her room. She flopped onto her bed and cranked her ipod dock, closing her eyes to the rush of music in her ears. Her cell vibrated in her jeans pocket and she got it out. It was a text from her mom.
Hi honey, hope your having a good time at your new home. Love you, Mom.
Violet smiled. It was nice to keep in contact with her family.
Doing good, might go into town tomorrow. Love you, Violet. Her fingers flew across the tiny keyboard and she set the phone on the bedside table. Her head bobbed contentedly to the music and she stood, wandering over to her closet. She had tons of clothes and she liked going through them once in a while. Violet threw one pair of clothing after another on her bed, enjoying the variety she had collected. She might actually go into town.
