Kadence sat amazed at the show of illusion from Amelie. Sure she could create illusions as well, but not large areas like this. Only more secluded illusions; anything widespread she lost focus with. “Now I really feel underdressed.” she laughed as she enjoyed the food and not the circumstances. Sipping on her drink, Kadence quickly choked and started coughing at the mention of a ball. “A ball…as in dancing included?” Staring with wide eyes at their host, she was far from excited about the event. Hunting, climbing, running, hiding, all these were easy things to do…Dancing? Out of the question. Though the idea of a dress was tempting, she wasn’t too sure how any dress would look with the wearer sprawled on the floor from tripping.

With the inward debate on whether to play sick or not, Kadence continued to finish the meal; but she quickly lost her appetite as a thought hit her. Why a week? And why has the others before them never returned? Despite how elegant the place seemed, there was a reason she feared this place so much her entire life. They’re had to be some truth in the stories somewhere, or else the villagers would fear this place. With the mention of being set free in a week’s time; Kadence had a feeling she had a week to figure out exactly how much of the stories were true.
