I finished my burger quickly, realizing only afterward how hungry I had been. I began to sip on my Dr. Pepper when I looked over at a new occupant to the cafeteria. It was hard not to notice; I had been alone prior to her arrival. I examined her slowly, watching her drinking a mug of something that was still steaming. I winced â it looked hot; didn't it burn? And even still, she was missing a hand.... I glanced around, making sure we were alone and decided to make my way over. It was a cloudy day anyway, so not much natural light could come in.
Who is she? Is she another one like me? There's one way to find out.
"Hey." I stood at the end of the table in the aisle, my hood drawn up to hide my appearance and shield my eyes from the brightness. There was more light than I had calculated from the other side of the room. "I'm number TWO, Rhiennah Aeon." And if she understood, she'd give me her number and name as well. I would have officially met my first SEVEN, and then I'd be certain that I wasn't alone.
