I contimplated removing my hood. In school, teachers had always taught me that it was rude, but my parents had insisted that I be allowed. For the longest time they wouldn't even let me attend school, and instead found me a private tutor, even as expensive as it was. I had been grateful to them, but when they could no longer afford it, I had no other choice but to go to school with my brother. For the first time, as Rhovaniah had told me one night, we were popular. Beautious as he was, Rhovaniah had been unapproachable; and because there was two of us, it made it so much easier. Especially since the younger one, hiding under his hood, appeared shier than his brother, usually sticking close to him when possible. Dispite this, I had never had a girlfriend, though I was quick to notice those of the opposite gender whom I found particularily attractive.
The only problem was what to say to these rare few....
"I hate it here," I told her finally. "I'm not sure what they put you through, but I'm sure it's alot worse than mine." I nodded toward her hand. "I guess it depends on the symptoms and the scientist. My doctor specialized in twins.... That's my thing... that makes me so special. My brother. I may not have any cool powers like the others â actually most of my diagnosis is in my appearance â but I've got a twin brother who's just a normal human. What about you? What's your story?"
