August was getting bored. He had the attention span of a butterfly and there was nothing of genuine interest going on at the dinner table. Luke and Autumn were having a nice little conversation and he considered ragging on him for obviously having a crush on Autumn, but decided against it. As much as he planned on teasing the kid he didn't usually mock people for any of their romantic interests; God knew he had dozens of his own.

"My attention span has failed me once again. You'll have to exscuse me while I go up to my room to escape the boredom. If any of you lovely ladies would like to join me" he said, flashing a smile at Minnie and winking at Emily "Feel free."

Grinning like the Cheshire cat he strode over to the door. "Oh and Luke, whenever you see a hat on the door, it means you're sleeping on the couch that night" he said, grinning deviously "Capeeshe kiddo?"

He saved two more seductive looks for Emily and Minnie. He didn't bother with Hope or Autumn. Hope didn't seem to have any interest in him - he could've worked to change that but why bother when there's all these other broads around? As for Autumn, she was obviously stuck on Luke already. Besides, he doubted that either of them were over eighteen. Emily showed some interest in him, not to mention that she looked about eighteen in his eyes.

Eventually he'd probably have to choose between pursuing her or Minnie. But not yet. He had to get to know this Emily girl a little bit better before he threw away whatever chances he had with Minnie.
