Layen was just walking along the beach toward Treasure Town. He was sometimes a customer at Sppinda's Cafe, and he was in the mood for a drink. He was just passing a Jolteon and Umbreon, who had just pulled Jolteon from the water. There was also a pikachu, and it sounded like some hostility was being exchanged. He heard the Pikachu say something, that probably wasn't the smartest thing to say.

Layne came over. Layne didn't like fighting, but wasn't one to be put down. He had been zapped by electric before, so Pikachu and Jolteon weren't much of a worry if they got angry and went at him. Layne probably shoulda just steered clear, but he was known to be a peace maker.

"Guys, there's a time and place for this kind of thing." He crossed his arms. "Why don't we all take a deep breath, and walk away?"
