Let's not say Clary was suprised when the dark-haired boy actually approached her. She had been standing by the door, quiet and discrete until her little outburst, not wanting to deal with introductions in the first place. So she had slunk back into the corner, with her arms crossed, trying to blend in until time for Dan to greet them, for her to argue, and then go home. But that outburst had screwed her over. Dang it.

"Hello, I'm Clary," she said, returning the smirk. Her attention was drawn to Dan as he entered the room. She sighed, then looked the boy back into the eyes, her usual scowl finding it's way across her face. "Like I was saying, I'm Clary and that's Dan," she directed his attention toward where their host was standing with a quick point. "I don't really want to talk to you and I kind of have more important things to take care of right now than introductions."
