Kells looked about as other students began to move the chairs and desks. He looked at Pangerbaum and shrugged. Mr. Zed has it under control now. The boy moved his own desk and chair to the side of the room and picked a spot against the wall to sit. He leaned his back against the cool wood and Pangerbaum sat on his lap. With legs outstretched, Kells proceeded to follow Mr. Zed's Instructions.

In through the nose.. He inhaled deeply. Out through the mouth.. He blew the air from his lips slowly. It helped calm him. His hands were bot resting gently on Pangerbaum's back. The cat would breathe in and out again with each of Kells' breaths- their timing almost in sync. It happened! Or.. maybe it didn't. Kells had been focusing on Mr. Zed's words and his breathing at the same time, but at some point both dissappeared. It was silent inside and outside him, but when Mr. Zed spoke in a regular tone again it seemed like mere instants had passed.

Kells felt rested. Did he fall asleep? With an embarassed grin to himself, he waited until Mr. Zed was finished with what he had to offer and returned to his bag, slipping the compliant Pangerbaum into it and sliding it carefully over his shoulder. His books and schedule were still on the desk. Kells picked them up and checked to see the next class.

Period Two:1: Deadlanguages: Focus-> Latin.

"Whew boy.. This oughta be..." Kells sighed and sorely wished he was in Pangerbaum's position on the pillow in a dark place to nap. "Oh well. Can't go to school without taking some classes."

Kells didn't seek anyone out in particular. He just walked into the nearest circle of students talking and sharing their pasts, powers, favorite music, and even snack food and began to make friends with the last five minutes.
