Tsukiko was summarily hauled into a darker corner of the alley, and quite honestly if this weren't Kyo, she probably would have drawn her sword on him right then. Or at least punched him in the nose. Nobody dragged a lady to a dark corner in a dark alley without so much as a by-your-leave. Especially not when the 'lady' in question was herself.

She scoffed at his plaintive explanation. Wasn't what t looked like? What, did he think she was stupid or something? She yanked her wrists out of his grasp, rubbing at them absently. "You have an annoyingly strong grip," she muttered as he turned away, probably telling her to get lost or something. As though I've ever done anything you've told me to before, idiot.

So instead, she followed him into the decidedly-creepy basement, grip tightening on her umbrella. she still thought this was a dumb idea, but by this point she was in it for good, so she might as well make herself useful and watch his back, even if she was still a bit offended. Honestly, why was it that people never treated her like she had any idea what was going on? Always being underestimated... A flashlight flipped on, and she shielded her face when she accidentally looked straight into it.

"You feel that?" Kyo asked, and Tsukiko rolled her eyes. Why go through all the trouble when you knew you were just going to fail. It was either an admirable level of tenacity... or just him being difficult.

"What? That spine-tingling creepy someone-is-definitely-here feeling? Yeah... yeah, I feel that." Tsukiko's eyes strained against the dark, as did her ears. She had no idea why Kyo had even wanted to be down here in the first place, but she was getting the distinct impression that they were not alone. A pale hand adjusted its grip on the umbrella, and she thumbed the blade loose just a fraction of an inch. She could draw it faster that way, but nobody was going to notice it if she didn't end up needing to.
