Marina smiled again.
"All the same, I do appreciate it." She responded when he said that she didn't need to thank him.
When he said he couldn't wait to see her home, she felt amazingly happy.
He had told her that he did want to spend his life with her but Marina hadn't considered how that might work. When all this was over, would she go to Zet's home or would he come to hers? But if he wanted to see her village, then she would have the chance to introduce him to her family. And that was the most important thing.
Almost as soon as she thought this, he mentioned about her family liking him. Squeezing his hand gently, she looked into his eyes intently.
"Zet, you have nothing to fear. My family will adore you, I just know it. When they see how happy we are together they will give you their blessing immediately. Besides, you'd have to try really hard to make an Aquarian dislike you. Believe me, they will welcome you with open arms."
She smiled at him. Her words were entirely truthful, the Aquarian's were the most trusting race ever, it would truly take a hateful and cold-hearted act against them to inflict any contempt in their thoughts. That was why they had never been in any serious wars, every race knew they were peaceful and would not hurt anyone. Even the Shadelians had always treated her kind with respect. To deliberately hurt an Aquarian, that was considered an act of pure evil.
"And what of your family? Do you think they will approve of me?" She asked gently but the question was serious. After all, her family were very trusting and acceptant of anyone but from what she had heard of the Krovis, maybe they were a bit more cautious. Maybe they wouldn't approve of her. Marina had told Zet that any Krovi was welcome in her village and she intended to keep her word, she wanted their families to get along and accept their union... although deep down she knew here feelings for Zet wouldn't change even if there was conflict between the Krovis and the Caspians. No matter what their families did, she wanted to stay with him forever.
