Marina was still frozen to the spot, unable to believe what she had heard.
It's not possible, that's not Ryu. He wouldn't do something like this.
She felt Zet's hand on hers and turned to face him, feeling some comfort at his words. Zet didn't believe it was Ryu either, he understood that this wasn't possible. But would the others feel that way, that was the problem.
"I know." She said softly. "This is not who Ryu is but if someone or something is using his name to spread chaos then we have to find them and stop them. Ryu could really be in danger, we lost him once and I am not taking the risk of losing him again."
Her eyes went over to the guards, to where they were trying to calm people down. From what she had seen, the guards would be hunting to kill if they went after Ryu and unfortunately there was no guarantee that Sydo or the other gem wielders would be in the same frame of mind as herself and Zet. She wanted to help him but something in the back of her mind told her that if they waited for the others there was more chance of Ryu getting hurt. She couldn't risk that.
"Sydo and the others will soon find out, the guards will let them know as soon as possible. But I don't think we should wait for them." Looking back at Zet, she squeezed his hand slightly. "I think we should go after Ryu now, if there's anything we can do to help him I'd rather we go sooner instead of later. Are you with me?"
Marina didn't care what happened, if they could just get to Ryu and find out what was happening then perhaps there wouldn't be any need for bloodshed.
