Alice shook her head, maintaining that tiny smile on her face. She was about to say something along the lines of 'and yet still you're the one who gets the duchy'--and then caught herself. That particular bit was a very touchy subject for both Alice and Evelyn. Evelyn, because he had no desire to inherit the duchy and its assets, and Alice, because she knew she was the one qualified to inherit the duchy, and yet was passed over for being a girl.
"....anyway, when will we get to this island, then?" she said, tactfully veering away from that subject. "I want to get to my books as soon as I can. I hope we don't have some kind of introduction thing planned."
