"Your land?" Allister's voice boomed with hollow laughter, "You cannot fool these eyes of mine, dearest Fel Prince. You are of the Damned, as you have murdered many, this includes the true prince of the land." Nodding his head slowly, he closed his eyes briefly, then opened them slowly. The blue flare was gone, and in its place was the same eerily glowing green that surrounded his encampment. "Tell me this, do you think you can truly stop me? Kill me, without harming your precious toys?" A smile played against his lips, as he leaned closer to the prince, conspiracy in his voice, "You see," he whispered, "if I die, so does everything else." A chuckle erupted from his throat, and the gleam of madness entered his eyes.
"Dearest prince," he said aloud, as he leaned back, "do you think your precious crown has the power over Death, as I do?" The smile vanished, as did the madness and green glow from his eyes. His eyes swirled, becoming distant, murky for only a moment, before changing to jet black. His visage became haunting, and frightened his acolytes behind the prince. It soon vanished, however, and was replaced with a look of serenity and peace, a rare sight to beheld. "You cannot own what you do not know," he whispered calmly, "No one owns anything in this world, for when you die, the earth claims you as its own, and you will die, Fel Prince, it is inevitible." Shaking his head slowly back and forth, his eyes closed as he rubbed them with thumb and forefinger.
When his hand fell to his side, and his eyes opened, they took on his original eerily green glow, but with flecks of gold within it. Perhaps this color was Allister's real eyes, perhaps not, only he could say, but would rather not. "What I offer is power beyond imagine," he said slowly, "All things die, dear Prince, and this includes yourself." With a finger upraised at the crown upon his brow, he whispered, "It cannot stave the presence of Death from you, else the former prince would still be alive. Nay, the first King would still be alive. However," the chuckle returned to his throat, "I have kept myself alive for far longer than I should have, and will now offer that secret to you." A hand appeared between the two, as a smile began to play upon his lips.
"What is the girl worth to you, if what I offer is life ever lasting?"
