How did the sky get so bright when it's about to become night? It's like.. a flame.. one last burst of light before you blow it out from a breeze; the fuel of the oxygen, almost taunting the fire only to be overwhelmed and com busting into smoke.

Kuraudo Sayomi stood near her bed looking out the window to the dimming sky, just about to turn in for the night. She was lightly holding the black curtains that shielded the moonlight from shining in her window and disturbing her sleep. Things have been weird in Radiant Garden lately... When the sun sets, it's more of a black darkness that follows dusk, not the usual calming feeling that she gets.

Kura took one last look at the horizon. She desired to be free from the house at night, but she knew that her parents would have her head mounted on the wall. However, she could feel that the time for her her to finally sneak out was approaching. It was just a matter of waiting for her parents to leave for the night or something, but that would never happen. Taking in her last moments to gaze into the night she would get before going to sleep, she closed the curtains, and laid on the bed.

"I wish I did not have to be bored all of the time...” She closed her eyes, and soon fell asleep, and dreamed.

Kura lie on the floor of what appeared to be the living room in her house, but it looked very different than it does now. She stood up and looked around, taking in the room.

This...is my home...but...

It looked as if the room was raided and destroyed. Compared to how it was now, the difference was a rather noticeable. The walls were splattered with blood, and the various paintings that were hanging in the room were ripped down and on the ground. Kura noticed that there was a window left open, so she began walking over to it. Upon arriving at the window, she looked outside, shocked at what she saw.

The sky was filled with darkness, but it had something else to it, and Radiant Garden was now in complete darkness. Kura drew back with a look of fear upon her face. Was she really seeing her home world's destruction? But...what could have caused such devastation?

How is this possible...?!

β€œIt is the shadows that has returned...”

Kura quickly turned around to see nothing but a mirror. The girl that appeared in the reflection was dressed in white, with hair much similar to her own, but it wasn't her.

β€œW-who are you?” Kura asked the reflection, curiosity and fear in her voice.

The girl simply smiled. "The shadows... Have returned."

--

Kura jerked up out of her bed and pulled open the curtains. Outside, the unusual darkness was thicker, and she couldn't see as clearly through it. At this point, she was worried out of her mind, so she slipped on a jacket and quickly grabbed her two short swords from under her bed before making her way as swiftly and quietly as she could down the stairs. She slipped on a pair of flip flops, and cracked open the door just enough so she could see out before making her way outside.

There were two small yellow lights out into the distance, but they faded away into the darkness. Kura was curious of what they were, so she started to head in the direction of the mysterious lights.

Several minutes of walking seemed like hours to her as she wandered the streets of Radiant Garden through the thick darkness. Walking into nothingness, into sorrow, into...

All of a sudden, she heard something from behind her. It was her only reflex to take out her sword, turn around, and brace herself. Her eyes widened and her jaw dropped at what she had seen.

It was a small black creature, yellow glowing eyes, and what appeared to be ears atop it's small head. Instead of screaming and running back to her house, she stood there, it looking into her big, shocked blue eyes. Kura felt herself getting weak, and her mind was starting to blank. Once her vision started to blur, she knew that was that. She blacked out on the spot.

--

"No, that will never do! She looks much better in blue." Flash.

"But I'm sure she'd like this better." Flash.

"Now now dears,-" Kura groaned, and half opened her eyes, to see three little old ladies, each with wands in their hands. She was lying on a couch in an open room, with only some furniture. The woman in the red dress had her wand held up with sparkles surrounding it, and pointed it towards Kura.

"...where am--" Before she could finish her question, a ball of light came flying at Kura, and busted into a sparkle explosion. Kura then quickly sprung up, and stood in front of the three ladies. They all had on the same gowns and hats, the only difference was the colour. She then quickly tuned into the fact that she wasn't wearing the came outfit as she was when she left the house. Instead of her tank top and baggy night pants under her favourite sweater, she wore a poofy red and pink dress with black accents and lace on it.The three ladies stood in awe looking over Kura.

The 4 girls all stood there, Kura looking at the three, and vice versa for what seemed to be an eternity, but was probably only a couple minutes. Kura, whom was now in the state of denial, blinked a couple times before breaking the silence.

"Where are my cloths? Why am I in a frilly dress?" She said in an aggravated tone, and tried not to get too mad.

The shortest lady, the one in blue, then smiled and put her hands together. "Well my dear, you were in nothing but your nightwear, so we had to dress you. Do you not like it?"

"I'm not a fan of pink really, and I don't wear dresses every day-" she grabbed ahold of the poofy skirt part "-especially something like this..."

Before Kura could continue, the lady in green spoke up. "Well, we can change that for you dear!" She then raised her wand and used more magic to change her outfit; now a more fitted green dress, with something like a train on the back.

The blue lady then spoke up, with a look of disgust on her face. "Now Fauna, what makes you think she wants a colour like that? I say she looks better in blue." She then changed the colour to blue.

Before She knew it, the three ladies were bickering, and the colour of Kura's cloths were being changed every three seconds. Everything was happening so fast for her to take everything in. She didn't even know where she was! Things were starting to get annoying.

"Okay, listen up! Will you three just stop!? Why does it matter what I wear anyway?! Just make yourselves useful, and bippity-boppity-boo me back home!" She finally snapped. The three looked at her, and the one named 'Fauna' sighed.

"Your home, Radiant Garden, was taken over..." Fauna said, and looked over to a large door. "Master Yen Sid saw it all, he saw that you came in contact with the heartless... You should go see the Master."

"Heartless...?" She had never heard of what Fauna was talking about, but after a moment of thought, she remembered the little creature, and the dream. "...do you mean the shadows?"

Fauna turned to her companions. "Flora," She looked at the red lady "Merryweather," Then to the blue lady "Lets just listen to her, and stop fighting now."

Flora smiled then took over. "Yes, your right. Now, come on dears." As if they could read each other's minds, the three all raised their wands and pointed them at Kura, releasing yet another sparkle explosion. This time, her outfit was alot better. The tightly fitted dress was slightly longer and a bit more flowing making it more appropriate for her, and it was grey in colour with gold trim along the sweet heart neckline of the strapless dress. She also wore a black coat. The front cut off at her waist and buttoned up just below her bust. It has a train in the back, reaching to her knees, and a hood. The jacket has red lining in it, and gold accents. Kura lifted her hands so she could see them. She was wearing fingerless gloves, that reached two inches below where the sleeves cut off at her shoulder. The whole outfit had silver trim, and gold accents. Kura loved it.

"My word, how beautiful you are!" Merryweather said.

"Yes, she is!" Continued Fauna.

"Now my dear, you should go see Master Yen Sid. He's in the next room over." Flaura said, and waved her good bye.

Kura thanked the three ladies, and turned to the large wooden doors that the three were talking about. She pushed them open with ease, and walked into the next room.

There was an old man with grey long hair, and a long grey beard. He was wearing a long blue robe with a pointed hat bearing yellow stars and moons. His glare scared Kura.

"Are you.. Yen Sid?" She said, entering the room.

He was sitting in a tall chair in front of a bare desk. "I see you are doing fine. Yes, I am Yen Sid." He said, and glared into Kura's soul... It was really creepy. "What is your name?"

"I'm Kura, Kuraodo Sayomi... Where am I? What happened to Radiant Garden? The last thing I remember was... those eyes..."

"Kuraodo," He started, and didn't even move an inch while moving. "Radiant Garden was taken by the darkness. It's no longer safe there, nor can you return."

Kura gasped, and looked at the creepy old man. "I can't go back? Then.. What'll happen?"

"That, only destiny knows. But, what I need you to do, is to make sure one person stays safe... With destiny, comes danger."

"Stays safe? Who?"

"Her name is Kaizume, she's one of the few keyblade wielders in the universe. Speaking of keyblades, those heartless you've encountered back at your home, they only acknowledge those who have a connection with keyblades... Do you Kura?"

Kura put her hand on her chin, and thought for a moment. "Not that I'm aware of.. Maybe my relatives do perhaps."

Yen Sid then closed his eyes, and thought for a moment himself. "That relative would have to have been close to both you and that chosen.." he said to himself, then opened his eyes back to Kura.

"You want to go back home, do you not?"

Kura nodded her head. "Of course I do..."

Yen Sid held out his hand, and a ball of light appeared. "Destiny has it's ups, and it's downs. When it's downs happen, you need to unleash your full potential. Take this orb, and let your power flow."

Kura approached Yen Sid, and hesitantly reached for the orb. It disappeared, and a sudden rush of energy enveloped her body. Before she could even ask what was going on, she could feel her body get warmer, and she felt full of life. It was nothing like she'd felt before. Kura held her arms out, and dark aura started to appear near her palms. A small flare of darkness went off, and her what seemed to be two short swords like her own appeared in her hands in reverse grip. Instead of her dull leaf shaped swords, two black and white bladed weapons appeared.

The aura disappeared, leaving her standing in front of the wizard with weapons drawn. Kura admired herself momentarily, then staggered backward from Yen Sid.

"What's going on..?" She asked, her voice trembling.

"Use your new found power to get to Kaizume, Make sure she doesn't get hurt. Be her guardian. Although I don't know you well, you do somehow have connection with the heartless, so they'll keep approaching you where ever you are; even if the connection is far." Yen Sid nodded in approval of his own words. "I can see that you have good in your heart. That reaction a moment ago, it seemed that darkness was your main affinity, which means you do have darkness in your heart like every other being in the universe. But, Kuraudo, because it came to you so strongly, means you can see the good in darkness, which proves the strength in your heart."

Kura looked down at her hands, and her two new weapons vanished, but she could stiff feel their presence. "...Okay. If all of this is what you say, about destiny that is, then Destiny will take me back home, and make Radiant Garden save again... I just know it." She looked back up to Yen Sid with a sly smile on her face. "I'll do it then!" And she turned to a door which she assumed was the exit.

"There's no way to get to Destiny Islands on foot. Use your powers, trust your first instincts." Yen Sid said.

And without further ado, the power took over again. Kura held out her hand, and a portal like spot of darkness appeared in front of her. And after thanking the old wizard, Kura stepped into the darkness.

--

The clear open ocean, a beautiful white beach, a bendy tree, was this really the place? Kura looked around, and the dark portal thing disappeared as she walked out of it. The bitter nip of the night breeze was chilly against Kura's bare legs. She was completely dumbfounded by the beauty of the night sky, the water shimmering from the glow of the stars and the moon, gently glowing in the dark night sky.

Kura walked over to the bendy tree, and lent against it with her arms crossed. Her vibrant red hair blew in the wind as she became completely oblivious to everything else of that island. She can find Kai-whoever later....
