The touch threw her off a little, but she maintained a rather distant air about it. A spark had occurred from it and when Florence turned to keep her eyes on Brielle for unseen hints as to why she was here, she also watch for a reason why there had been a spark. It certainly hadn't been some romantic notion created by the Gods, one God, or Cupid. Although, that would explain the uncanny and supernatural attributes she'd been condemned with. Florence had been in love once, but it had required no spark or warm feeling. It had just been love, plain and simple.

Forgetting the past and leaving that to time alone with herself, Florence nodded her head to Brielle. "I'm quite fine, thank you." Her blue eyes finally left the girl's face, seeing only confusion and an inability to figure out herself what was happening, only to meet gazes with the blond, pretty boy in the group before them. He looked taken aback by her wide stare, but the other, who caught she and Brielle being anti-social, waved and smile. Florence's fingers lifted, wiggled and then returned to their place on her rib cage. Her shoulders were pounding with the ache of pain. Whatever was going to happen to her back, needed to happen soon.

"Why are you here? If you don't mind me asking?" Florence's lips curled up on one side, the side unseen by her companion. It took her quite some time to determine whether or not she should tell the truth or skirt the question. The young woman decided perhaps the shock factor was in order. Very rarely did Florence tell anyone she hardly knew all her private doings, but in this case, she was beginning to see similar attributes in all the patients on this floor. The heavy gazes filled with contempt at their situation, the lack of psychosis and the abundance of sanity, the bandage feet, the singed clothing... the regret that they'd done something horrible the night before.

"I drained a man of all his blood last night." Florence had turned her eyes towards the entrance to the common area where another girl had left to. She was very upset and would probably want someone to talk to her. Should she go? Yes, perhaps she should, but she would not speak to her. With another glance to Brielle, Florence held her gaze intensely. "I drank it."

Oh, she was off her rocker, that was for sure. Perhaps being in an asylum would make a sane person go crazy, but Florence knew the statement had made her completely legit. If Brielle looked hard enough, wasn't pushed away or frightened by the words, she would have seen the overwhelming sadness and hateful regret that filled Florence up to the brim. With quiet steps in her slippers, Florence moved away from her new acquaintance and into the common area. She found herself a comfortable position sitting in the single chair and watched the girl lay there. If she wanted to talk, she would say so. Florence would wait.
