He was alone with Ari and away from the oppressive questions. He thought of the woman as she excused Xypher's behavior, wondering what he had been so afraid of; She had experienced his demon first hand and still remained with him, wasn't it possible others would be as accepting? Possibly. He cast the thought away, intending to deal with the situation as it arose. He looked over at her as she offered to fetch the vintage Indigo. A conflict arose within his mind as he looked at her in her mismatched eyes. She was offering out of kindness, something he had only received from Adrian in his life. He didn't want to offend her yet he had no connection to the bike, no feelings were stirred at the thought of its loss since he left it around a pole in some street.

He paused for a moment, considering as Ari waited patiently. In a way he was attempting to start again, the third restart of his life and by far the strangest. His eyes locked with Ari's. The strangest by far, he summarised as behind his mask a small smile twitched as he looked at her. It was gone as quickly as it formed and Talon resolved his reasoning. "No," he announced, "It can't be repaired." He was half-bluffing, although his monotone voice did not reveal a hint, Talon could fix almost anything. "Thank you for the offer." He added after his usual elongated pauses "I do need a new bike however." He walked over, standing next to Stryx. He knew plenty of scrap-heap dealers from his time as a mechanic that already seemed as distant as his life with Adrian and the Eagles. As long as the bike could get him around he could easily repair and reconstruct it.
