It was very warm that morning and it was time for another execution. A nobleman had raped and killed multiple women. Now he was going to be executed by one. Hilmeveda wore her black robe with the hood up and her black cloth mask covered her head and neck and fitted tightly. It didnt even have holes for the eyes or mouth but she could see through the material. She walked up to the execution block with her pole axe in her hands. The prisoner was brought up to the execution block and was chained to it. He had to sit against it, so that everyone could see him. A man read the prisoners crimes to the public and then it was time. Hilmeveda then took a quick swing and chopped through the mans neck with one stroke. The axe got stuck in the wooden block and Hilmeveda let go and picked up the head by the prisoners head and showed it to the people watching. The corpse was put in a coffin and the head was put on a spear for the rest of the day.
Hilmeveda then went to a street on the shore of the Bosporus near her home and pulled off her mask, revealing her slightly tanned skin, her beautiful face, her heterochrome green-blue eyes and her long black hair. She sat there and sang a beautiful song. Even though she was beautiful and all, people still made a careful detour around her because they knew who she was and a shiny pole axe with blood still splattered on its blade didnt make it any better.
