Shaunne sighed, then reluctantly removed her gloves.
"Never tell this to another soul, unless your life depends on it. Don't risk your life for me," she added as an afterthought. "I can see your future... if you let me touch you."
She removed the blue gloves- woven and soft to the touch, that she'd never removed in another's presence since...she couldn't remember how long. She held up her hands for a moment, long fingures wiggling in the stuffy air, before dropping her hands to her lap, limp. She left them there and glanced down as a wave of shame came over her. She hadn't even told him the worst part of the power...
Weak. I am weak.
Taking a deep breath, she rushed on before she could chicken out again.
"But I'll see your mind. What you're thinking. While it's happening."
The sentences came out choppy and disordered, but she was glad she'd finally got it out. It wasn't a real burden, but so limited in physical contact as she'd been for the last three years- it had affected her in more ways than one.
