Kaylee groaned as she dragged herself out of bed. She had been out skating late last night and had gotten to bed rather late. Stumbling to her dresser, she pulled out a black and green striped tank top, gray skinny jeans, and black and green mismatched socks. Hitting the play button on her iHome, she headed to the shower as "Radio Hardcore" by Italobrothers came on. Rushing through her shower, she quickly dressed and brushed her hair, pulling it up into a loose ponytail and pinning her bangs back to dry. Dancing around her room, she lightly applied eyeshadow and mascara, her makeup appearing completely natural. Grabbing her car keys and backpack, she snatched her iPod up and jogged out to her car. Having locked the front door of the house behind her, she turned and continued out to her lime green Prius. Hand brushing the door, she heard the car unlock and she smiled as she opened it and slid into the driver's seat. Hitting the power button, she put her foot on the brake and hit the park button, taking the car out of park, and started to drive off toward school. However, she had to stop as her brother, Ianto, ran out of the house and climbed into the passenger seat of the car. Ready to go, they headed toward school, stopping to get a bag of donuts since they had not eaten breakfast.
Arriving at the school, Kaylee saw Danielle arguing with a sophomore over her parking space. Pulling into the spot next to it, she sighed and got out, heading over to her friend, leaving all of her stuff in the car. Munching on a sugar donut, she approached her friend, who was threatening the sophomore. However, as she approached, Dani gave him a bloody nose and he got in her face. Frowning, Ianto moved to stand protectively between Dani and the sophomore.
"Is there a problem?" he practically growled, eyes narrowed, his large frame shielded Dani from view, but he knew she wouldn't appreciate his intervention. However, she was probably be used to it by then.
Kaylee walked over to Dani, the charm bracelet that adorned her left wrist jingling as she walked. "Hallo Dani!" the German flowed easily from her lips as she hugged her friend. "I bought donuts." the short sentence was a half-silent offering of food to her long-time friend, but to those not as well acquainted with her, Kaylee would seemingly be speaking meaningless information.
Pausing as she saw Deirdre out of the corner of her eye, Kaylee grinned as she realized who was with her and what they were wearing. "Hang on." she grinned at Dani before turning and jogging over to Dei, Chris, and Johnny. "Lovely clothes, boys. Johnny, I believe you do have a bit more to teach Chris, though. I'm not sure if he could quite pull off a McDonalds, yet." grinning, she hugged Deirdre, not caring if the dark girl didn't appreciate it or not.
