A. Golikova
Castle Main Building, Second Floor (F9)

The lock mechanism clicked open, but Golikova only scarcely noticed at first. She was busy thinking about what could possibly be on that floppy disk. Aleksandra Golikova, 06-04-09. Was that her name, or just a coincidence? No, surely not; she did not think she believed in coincidences. The sixth of April, '09... what possible meaning could that date have? What was today's date? she realized with some trepidation that she did not even know what year it was.

Shaking her head, she decided such questions could wait for now, and examined the contents of the shelves the combination lock had been protecting. The box of rounds, she pulled open and found full. Hollow point... not ze best zing for right now, but better zan nozing. she wondered what use a research facility (if that was indeed what this place was) had for rounds of ammunition. It was highly likely that it was run by some government or another; probably a coalition of some kind, judging from the fact that she was present in addition to at least one American (Stone). The other two seemed American also, if only because she had heard no distinguishing accent to mark them as anything else. She reminded herself to check their uniforms for anything identifying next time she saw them. She already knew that she bore none.

But that was beside the point at the moment. She pocketed the rounds and moved down a shelf. The grenade caught her eye first, and she gave it a cursory examination. Concussion? Rounds, she might be able to understand in a military laboratory, but a grenade? That was just... suspicious. Still, she reasoned that if someone had thought it a good idea for this to be here, she was going to trust their judgement on that and take it with her. The shotgun shells went into yet another pocket, and she was glad of the utility of her pants. There was no use for them at present, but chances were, if someone kept the ammunition, there was a gun somewhere, and Taylor and Stone were presently without firearms.

Way at the back of the third shelf was a crumpled piece of paper, which she reached for and smoothed out as best she could. Photosensitive? Vhat is photosensitive? Her first thought was of the plant in the last room, but she had no desire to test that theory at present. The paper, she refolded a bit more carefully and stuffed in her back pocket. Maybe one of the others would come across something. Perhaps it was connected to the UV light in that other room, who knew?

She gave the room another cursory scan and decided that unless they came back later to try and get these computers working, that was probably it for now. she shot a glance at Stone and gestured towards the door on the other side of the room, the one that would presumably take them to F4 and hence the rendezvous point with P and Taylor. "Shall ve?" she asked, crossing to the door and trying the handle, her other hand withdrawing her gun from its holster.
