As the fortress that once had been a mere speck on the horizon grew closer, Yosuke found his fury calmed. At first, he had been extremely frustrated with this trainer for endangering her Pokémon like that. But with the time he'd had to mull over the situation, he realized that she had seemed to be protecting her Pokémon, not just herself. She must have had reasoning for endangering herself so. Nonetheless, he remained silent and unwelcoming as the female trainer trailed him. Every so often, Myrrh would steal a glance back at the Espeon, tilting his head in thought, before returning his attention to his front. Alucard, however, remained oriented upon his path.
After a time, the rain began to clear, and eventually cease. As it did, the boy once again released Kalen, the fox glad to be free of its prison-like keeping. He had raised all of his Pokémon freely, rarely ever needing to recall them to their capsules aside from circumstances as such. Due to this fact, he and his team received many looks of wonder and worry throughout all of the towns that they had passed through. Due to this fact, he had in the past experienced many unpleasant run-ins with the League. He despised their manipulative reign, but on that same note found the actions of Team Omega ridiculous, and undesirably so. He preferred the free life, as did his Pokémon; after all, it was one of the only reasons they were constantly traveling.
The walls and structure of the hulking fortress fell into definition the closer they got. As they reached its massive gates, Yosuke felt something... A peculiar and intrusive something, somewhat like a tiny needle to his brain, trying to extract its liquid information. He instantly shut the feeling out, shooting a cold glance over his shoulder back at the girl and her Psychic Pokémon. He knew it had been them; who else would it have been? What they were after was a mystery to him, but logic standing, it was probably to do with his intentions. His eyebrows furrowed in agitation; he knew their reasons were most likely justifiable, but that did not excuse them from attempting to infiltrate his mind.
Passing under the massive stone archway to the decrepit fort, it was apparent that few ever frequented this place. The architecture itself was remarkable and beautiful, but what it stood for disgusted Yosuke. At one of the far corners, the boy spotted a Pokémon Center. It didn't look like it had received any business in a while, but regardless of that fact it should still have been open. He strode silently over to the building, opening its front doors and ushering his Pokémon in to the building. As the girl caught up, he entered, letting the door close before she could pass through it. He walked up to the counter, moderately relieved to see a conscious nurse tiredly waiting for patients. She seemed to perk up as they approached, smiling sickeningly sweetly.
He looked at the woman blankly and spoke, his sentence lasting but one syllable. "Here." With that, he handed her the Pokéball that his injured Zoroark resided in.
