"Alright, Red." Matt said, following her. "And yes, yes I am." He kept pace with her for a little while, but then dropped back, sidestepping up a stairwell. He had learned enough of this pace during his midnight prowls to know that there was a stair case leading back down a ways away down the corridor, and if he could run fast enough he could surprise Red. Now that would be a laugh. Matt dashed down the corridor, keeping light on his feet, then jumped down the stairs. He held still at the foot of the stair, waiting for the footsteps that would signal Red and the butler's approaching. Then he would scare the bejeebies out of them.
