At the mention of battle, Sabre, who was now situated closer to the man with the Blaziken than any of the others, began to bark and bound back and forth in excited agreement. Those who had not seen the Flareon near them should now be alerted to the hotheaded pokemon's presence. It was clear the Flareon was eager for a battle and began to switch gazes back and forth between the trainer who offered the challenge and Jack who was back at the counter.

Jack was beginning to wonder what had riled Sabre in such an excited frenzy and was about to investigate himself, but he was answered by the man's invitation of, "Hey, anyone want to join us in a battle!?" Then it clicked in Jack's head, Sabre wanted to particpated... "Of course you do," He muttered, scratching his chin. Sabre was a proud and active pokemon, always looking to impress and to please. Jack turned his attention to Lauren, "Uh... Sorry about that," He pointed at the Xtransceiver, "But it looks like Sabre wants to have a battle... He's going to get into trouble if he keeps throwing himself at people like that," He said to no one in particular as he walked towards Sabre, who was still yipping at him. As if the Pokemon wanted it's trainer to hurry up.

Lightning stayed where he was with Lauren with the Xtransceiver in his paws. The Raichu let it's trainer go, understanding the red-blooded streak in Sabre. Of course, the Raichu kept an ear open in case he was needed by either of them. Even if his trainer was scatterbrained and his Flareon friend was hard-headed, they were still a team.

By now, Jack knelt by his Flareon, patting the excited Pokemon's head... "You wanted a battle? Sabre seemed to be interested," The Flareon barked again, "Very interested," Jack added. "Oh yeah, my name is Jack," He introduced, "and this is Sabre," Again, the Flareon barked, though this was a pleasant, softer bark.

"So, how are we going to do this? One on One," The Flareon began to nuzzle at the touch of Jack's hand, "Two on two, what?" He asked.
