Khalid rolled her neck. She'd finished her simple breakfast of waffles from the microwave. She bid goodbye to her roommate, exiting out the corridor. Once she got outside, she took a deep breath. It was a beautiful day, with a clear expanse of blue sky stretching above them, but she hadn't recovered from the morning yet. Suddenly, she felt hot breath on her neck. She spun around, fist swinging, but Issam had already moved out of range. Khalid let her fist fall to her side. She shot Issam an evil look and could sense his smugness through their link. Turning without giving him the satisfaction of a response, she started moving towards the school.

Issam nudged her just as Agnis' form came into view. She paused and turned slowly. And Issam was there. She resisted from jerking back. His eyes were so dark she couldn't distinguish the pupil. She didn't even know if dragons had pupils. She sighed and patted him on the nose and Issam's 'smile' returned. Moving so quick Khal could barely disconcern his movements, his tail shot out and knocked her onto his back, barely avoiding his spikes. She picked herself up. "Issam!" she shouted. "You-"

She didn't get to finish her sentence.

Issam took off. His toenails clacked against the ground as he leaped off the ground. It was something he'd been practicing for a bit. His takeoff was wobbly, and Khalid almost fell off, but she soon righted herself. She let out a screech as he spiraled into a sharp dive above Gwen and Kalen and began to laugh, gripping at his neck so as not to fall off.
