Elen remained deep within herself for a fair amount of the walk back to the city, usually when she lost awareness it wouldn't be until early morning dawn that she'd awaken once more. This night was different; her body had not exhausted itself of the ritual obtained energy. She squirmed in the arms that held her, opening her eyes almost unwillingly. Of all the things Elen expected, waking to the night sky above her certainly wasn't one of them. 'Why is it still night?' she thought.

For a brief instant Elen believe she had regained control over her elven instincts, she had overcome them and took back control of her body. Then her senses came back to her, she felt the rocking motion of movement without using her legs, tensing and looking up in alarm she came face to face with Takeshi. A man with white hair that glittered under the moonlight and when he turned to look down at her, she caught the sight of the most brilliant looking blue eyes.

She was shocked, mouth agape as she stared, she had never been so close to another person before, she was fascinated. Then survival instincts kicked in, the interest quickly melted into terror, she began to thrash about and yell, though at second thought she bite down on her tongue to muffle her own screams. She didn’t want to be too loud in the fear of attracting other such predators, that’s when she caught sight of Rosemary and Yuzuki and came to the conclusion that she had been capture not by one, but a pack.

Elen managed several kicks to the man holding her, clawing at whatever she could get her hands on, until he finally released his hold on her. Groaning as she hit the ground for the second time that night, she rolled up into a crouching position, gave one fleeting glance behind her to the three gathered before turning and making a dash for it.

Elen only made it as far as the barn before it occurred to her that she didn’t know where she was, she never had memory of these moments of the full moon so she had no idea how she had gotten there; she had no clue as to how to return to the mountains. With the taste of blood in her mouth from biting her tongue, and hearing the others behind her she looked around desperately for something familiar to lead her “home”, but she saw nothing! The panic that spread through her made it harder to think clearly, the darkness itself seemed to close in on her, was she going to end up dying here?
