Mary bowed her head and she stared at him for a minute before she turned and she left quickly, closing the door behind her. Her heart was pounding. So that was Dr. Jekyll. He seemed like a charming and polite doctor who had a sense of maturity. She would smile lightly as she walked down the hallway and back down the flight of stairs. Mrs. Alberten was waiting for her in the kitchen with a smile and held up a live eel in her arms. Mary almost threw up.

"Come, dear. Time to make dinner." she said as she held the eel down. "Come hold this down while I hack off the head." Mary was turning pale as she slowly walked over and put her hands on the cold slimy eel that was wriggling around underneath and she felt her stomach churn. She looked away when Mrs. Alberten chopped off the head, and she instantly ran to the washroom and threw up into the sink.
