Above Nix, the smallest of Pluto's three moons, was forge 17. Forge seventeen was one of the largest military weapons productions facilities in Plutonism space. Able to mass produce ground combat mechs on order the station also doubled as a refinery and residence for 800 personnel. It could manufacture over 50 armored vehicles a day and had 300 in storage.

This is why it was made a target for rebellion insurgents. At 3:00 AM three unscheduled carbon ore transports arrived and docked at the station. When inspection started the hatchs on all three ships slammed open and mechs started to pile out. The hanger security staff was taken by surprise and almost completely annihilated within minutes. Roughly 60 Volkot close quarters light mechs stormed into the station. The rebel Volkot's were of smaller size and able to fit into sections of the station where the defense force's own mechs couldn't fit. With a higher maneuverability and number of access routes, the rebels were able to avoid major opposition and faced primarily with under equipped infantry units. The station fell into chaos, with the security teams barely holding their ground while the insurgents continued to attempt to storm the storage area.

"... Which was relevant to the last report we received from Forge seventeen as of twenty one minutes ago, sir." Finished lieutenant Gearalt of the communications division.

Admiral James Tiraninot stood at the viewing port of his flagships command bridge. He watched the station in the distance continue it orbit around the moon of Nix. "What are the conditions of the hanger defenses? Have the insurgents over taken security controls?" Behind him Gearalt read off the report message on his data pad. "Sir, hanger blast doors were lowered 15 minutes after confirmed contact with hostiles. Scout drones sent to observe the exterior were short down by automated controls. Enemy is assumed to have full control over hanger defense." Admiral Tiraninot contemplated the situation. The station hangers were heavily reinforced against bombardment. Within the time it took for them to arrive it would be safe to assume the rebels had breached the storage area and were hijacking the mechs inside at the moment. With the anti-bomber turrets reprogrammed to cover the rebel ships they would have little success with destroying the transports before they entered trans-space. This would also prevent them from landing there own troops inside the station. He played a few scenarios in his mind, testing the likely hood of success in each strategy until he settled on a coarse of action.

"Position four squadrons of bombers on standby in an intercept pattern out side the hanger firing range. Target section six under the second ring of the station and launch R.H.A.M. barrage."

Lieutenant Gearalt gave a salute and responded with a "Yes sir!" then paused. when his mind registered the command. "Wait... what. I'm sorry Admiral but could you repeat that last part."

Tiraninot turned around to face Gearalt. He spoke in a slower and stronger tone. "Target section six under the second ring of the station's support facilities and fire. The station's life support is in that section. Without it, the automated defenses will go down and the insurgents will be forced to withdraw. Our squadrons will remove any remaining ships as they exit the station." Gearalt was about to object but Tiraniont held up a hand to silence him. "Do as you are ordered lieutenant or I will find someone who will." Gearalt cringed and relented, relaying the admiral's orders to the fleet. Tiraninot's flagship, the Ashur, opened a dozen of hatches to revel R.H.A.M. missiles.

R.H.A.M. Stood for Robotic Hammer Artillery Missile. It was one of the latest in weapons designs by Pluto's military force made to wreak the inside instead of trying to crack open the hull. A giant cone shaped jackhammer was mounted on the front of the missile that would pound it's way through a ships hull. Timed explosives would wait until Once it had managed to smash it's way into the interior of the enemy vessel before detonating, tearing the ship apart from the inside.

A barrage of these Missiles was fired into the station. They pounded into the side and disappeared under a mask of torn hull. Seconds passed as Tiraninot watch the station. Then a large bulge appeared in it's side before an entire section exploded open in a mass of fire and light. There was little sound, to much distance and not enough air to allow the vibrations of the explosion to reach them. But it rocked the facility just the same. Seconds later lights across the station went out. Power died quickly as even the power generator went up in smoke. With out the life support their was nothing to keep the stations systems running.

That included the ventilation that kept the oxygen flowing.

"Tell the squadrons to move into attack position and engage as soon as the insurgent's withdraw." Tiraninot ordered as he turned to leave, walking past a stunned and solemn Gearalt. "Oh and get a salvaging crew down there to pick up anything that we can recover. We don't want any one trying to loot this place later."

"Yes, sir..." was all Gearalt could reply with as he watch the carnage that Tiraninot had unleashed.
