He looked at both as they spoke. Studying their phrases, hoping to catch any hint that he could use to his advantage.

"If you were a peddler, I wouldn't have wasted a spell on you." He remarked, his eyes piercing through both of them, studying them from the distance, the woman had looked familiar, though he didn't exactly place where, at this time he didn't really care to. He took notice that both of them where moving their hands to their weapons. At least he got their attentions with the attack. Neither of them seemed to be carrying anything that officially made them part of the Yugile, and that's what made him worry a bit more. He brought his hands closer together and started to move them in a circle, his left hand above his right hand.

"That wizard who served the Royal Family. How nice to address that they're still alive." He growled in response, he continued moving his hands in a circle, "Now, you have a few minutes of your lives remaining intact while I finish preparing this spell. Let's play a game while we wait."

A violet orb slowly started appearing with each pass of his left hand, or at least thats what it appeared to be from their point of view, it was an illusion spell extremely harmless, but a good trick to scare people into thinking it wasn't, "The rules are simple, you tell me what I want to know, and we all live. You don't, well this spell kills you both."

He was holding back, by now they would've engaged in combat if he had felt different about the situation. If they weren't here for the princess, he didn't want to harm them. Though, if they were, he wanted to make sure he got the answers he needed before he killed them, or they killed him. Still, his hands moves in the circle, away from each other as the orb grew.
