~~~RHIANNON~~~
ā€œWe have been getting along as best we can; the Seven have blessed us with perseverance.ā€ Rhia said in response to Adelaideā€™s condolences for the loss of her husband and the childrenā€™s father. Ever since her husbandā€™s death she had ascended as somewhat of a matriarch in the Bennett household. Damon did a very good job of running their lands, but it was her duty still to run the household (Damonā€™s wife, in Rhiaā€™s opinion, would only wreak harm if household matters were left to her and Rhia would either eat her own fingers then allow the woman to do so).
ā€œMorgana was very dear to me, we were as close as sisters ever became. I would be very happy to have you join me in the crypts, Ada.ā€ She did not press Adelaide for any more words when the girl trailed off. There would be time for speaking in private. ā€œWe have much to catch up on, I am sure.ā€ Rhia was by no means imperceptive. She had noticed the reddened look of Adelaideā€™s eyes, the one that hinted at tears. She made note to herself to ask of her niece what was troubling her.
Rhia accepted Morgan back when Adelaide handed him back over and then turned to Molly, who had stepped up immediately to her side to accept the infant from Rhia, in turn. ā€œMolly, once the children are with Mary, go have yourself rest. ā€˜Tis been a long journey,ā€ Rhia said to the nursemaid and reached out to warmly pat her on the shoulder.
ā€œThank you, milady, I will do as you say,ā€ Molly replied with a humble nod and Rhia turned back to Adelaide.
ā€œBefore visiting the crypt, ā€˜twould be best for us to pay our respects and say our hellos to your Lorf Father, the King.ā€ It was only the proper thing to do when coming down to visit Kingā€™s Landing, and especially when the realm was teetering on the brink of war. This was when alliances had to be strengthened and House Damian ought to know that it had the support of its bannermen fully and completely.
Rhia looked over her shoulder in attempt to catch Damonā€™s eye and then gave him a small nod that, between the two of them, meant that he should expect her to come by his bedchambers that night. To all others it may just have been a nod of acknowledgment. But before doing so she would first speak to Adelaide, and then with Nasrin.
~~~DANTE~~~
ā€œIt had indeed been a while, Lady Nasrin.ā€ Mordred embraced Nasrin in return, smiling quite brightly, and replied with better manners than most noblemen. Dante got the feeling that the boy had inherited a lot of things from his motherā€™s side of the family (they just were all soā€¦proper, yes, that was the word).

ā€œWe have just been acquainted with one another.ā€ Mordred answered Nasrinā€™s question before Dante could get a chance to open his mouth and Dante was left to stand there and appreciate the fact that the boy spoke very eloquently for being barely seven. ā€œThough you two are better acquainted, yes? Dante here was rather intent on observing you. Maybe it would be best to let the two of you speak?ā€

Mordred looked up at him with an expression of childish innocence that barely masked a mischievous glint. He was getting sassed by a six year old. ā€˜You little pratā€¦ā€™ Dante thought to himself and narrowed his eyes a tinge.

ā€œIt is part of my job to make sure the Bennetts are escorted inside safely.ā€ Dante answered truthfully, also in part to save face. ā€œI take it you and the Lady Bennett are very good friends,ā€ he said and briefly his eyes flicked over to look at the woman who so much resembled the late Queen. And then his gaze returned to Nasrin and he was grinning. ā€œFriends are always good, yes?ā€ He had to admit that he had never seen Nasrin embrace anyone like that before and certainly not with such eagerness in her demeanor.

It was then that Mordred tugged on Nasrinā€™s sleeve and stood up on his tip-toes. ā€œHe likes you,ā€ the boy whispered to her, albeit a bit too loudly. Dante was sure that he had been meant to hear those words. Letā€™s just say, having small tykes prying into his love life was both amusing and rather irritating. The boy simply returned Danteā€™s previous grins.
