Lab 23; The Viruses:

Inside Lab 23, the secret laboratory of Dr. Mikhail Charter, dark and empty now, aside from the never-ending screaming of the failed experiments. The experiments that had gone beyond fifty percent, and that Dr. Charter hadn't disposed of. Thrashing against their cages, wildly throwing themselves at the bars, but never able to escape. Their sanity gone, their old human appearances gone, along with their very humanity. Their skin was now a sick grey color, eyes shadowed and sunken in, all bodily hair long-since fallen off. Veins and arteries pushed outward from underneath their skin, a constant supply of adrenaline pumping through their bodies. Some of them had shredded remains of clothing on them, but most were nude. This was what happened once a human's DNA became subordinate to Alien DNA, once the fifty percent mark was passed. No sanity, no humanity, and a cage.

Seemingly endless rows of the screaming creatures, reaching out from behind their bars, except for in one cage. At first glance, you would think it was empty. But, the creature that had once been Rostislav Nestor was indeed there. If the lights were on, and if someone was down there who wasn't infected just from the air the creatures breathed, then you would see him, sitting with his legs crossed, as if in meditation, except for the rapid breathing, always at the same intervals. All he wore were the ragged remains of dress-pants, his grey bulk completely revealed, eyes closed as if he was in thought, breaths becoming deeper, more stable, less animalistic.

And then his eyes were open, and he fluidly rose to his feet, within the cage, looking to the left, then the right, at the others of his kind, still screaming madly, reaching for freedom in the dark. All at once, the front of every cage shattered, as if a massive hand had grabbed ahold of each one and crushed them into their fists. The Viruses did not hesitate to go running forward from the their cages, into the dark of the pit at the bottom of Lab 23. Alarms almost immediately went off, red lights the only things illuminating Lab 23. Rostislav Nestor, now the creature that would be known as Alpha, calmly walked forward into the crowds of ravenous Viruses. Standing almost directly beneath the central platform Dr. Charter had performed his earlier testing, Alpha looked up, instantaneously rising off of the ground, along with all the hundreds of others, swiping at the air and the strange lights like they were rabid.

All together, they landed fluidly on the upper level, charging forward into the heavy security doors that kept Lab 23 seperate from the rest of the Fate facility. They slammed into it, denting it but causing no serious damage. Unswayed, they continued their mindless onslaught, parting only for Alpha, walking forward through them, slowly raising one hand, fingers pointed at the first of the doors in front of him, and then he balled his hand into a fist, the door immediately being crushed down into nothing more than a heavy ball of steel, floating in the air, revealing a passageway with another door in the path of the Viruses. They all charged forward, around Alpha, saliva dripping ravenously from their mouths, but he simply drew his raised arm back, causing the ball of steel to vibrate wildly for a split second, and then he threw his arm forward, as if in a punch, sending the ball forward, crashing through the next two doors.

Alpha continued walking forward, the Viruses around him running and jumping onward, into the main Fate facility. A female automated voice came on, "Lab 23 doors compromised; contagions escaped." The Viruses ran down the hallways, attacking anything in their paths, but not stopping to go inside of any rooms or side passages. "Lockdown protocol in effect." Screaming could now be heard from those unfortunate enough to be in their path, as their claws and teeth dug into them. "All security personnel; use of lethal force, authorized." Alpha continued calmly in the direction of the one and only exit of Fate, hordes of Viruses swarming past him. He passively walked over a dead body of some fool scientist that hadn't gotten out of their way in time, and then suddenly stopped. Alpha turned his head to his right, staring into Mikhail's office, staring at Mikhail himself, still inside.

Alpha's face didn't change at all, but stayed in it's serious scowl, and he walked into the office, paying no mind to Mikhail, then grabbed a labcoat that was hanging next to the door, put it on, and walked away, back into the flow of Viruses. The exit was guarded by men with guns, and by turrets of various kinds, so far the Viruses hadn't broken free. Small piles of their bodies were beginning to grow in front of the door out of Fate. Alpha continued with his steady pace, ignoring the dead, and rose up his hand again, but quickly this time, sending forward an invisible shockwave, shattering the floor in front of his, sending the guards flying and destroying the turrets, then going on through the door. In that one move, it was all destroyed, and the Viruses funneled through the door. Alpha stood among the dead guards for a couple minutes, waiting for the last of the Viruses to get out of Fate, then turned to look back into the facility, at whoever had come out to see what had happened in those brief couple of minutes.

His personal agenda would have to wait for now. Mikhail would have to wait for now. The world came first. Alpha turned away, then followed after the running Viruses, still at his calm pace. Fate would be locked down for a couple of days, at least, checking personnel for contagions, repairing damage. Only a lucky few, aside from the subjects, would not be affected by the airborn Alien contagions that constantly surrounded the Viruses. All the rest would need to be replaced, after they were disposed of, or after they followed after Alpha. For now, he had a set destination. From there, his plans would grow. After enough time had passed, he could redirect his attention where he wanted. Specifically, straight at Mikhail.
